Freebie Successes by Letter / Email - What have you recieved? (merged)

I have been sending out loads of compliment letters for a couple of weeks now- I am keeping a running total, so far I have received £123 worth of vouchers!
That will be great for the christmas food shop!!:j

This is from Maybelline, don't bother emailing them the woman who emailed me emailed again after this one said she was going to forward the message onto the marketing team, so in the end didn't help me. It was a long shot anyway. Hope others are having more luck on the voucher front.

Too many to mention!

I have written to around 140 companies- many of them have Freepost addresses so not costing me too much in postage.

I have heard back from about 50 so far, most are very generous. I have another 15 letters to post today!

This is great fun!

Maybe you could share some of your successes with us - If you name a few companies that have been generous it helps others know who to try.


I received a £3 voucher from kelloggs for a compliment, and £4 from Kellys icecream for a genuine complaint.

Can you give me the email for Kelloggs because they told me to send my address and when i do it says it failed to send.

I just filled out their general enquiry form, included my address and rather than resond by email, they posted some vouchers - maybe if you try contacting them that way, explaining you were asked for your address?
