Hi all,
From reading this thread I've become interested in having ago but then realised I have never complimented a company over email or in fact over a product. Obviously I've told waiters etc how good the food was and left a tip.
Anyway, I would be grateful if somebody could give me a few tips or what to write ha ha
Thanks in advance

You've inspired me to try doing this. I've sent comments to some of the companies I use regularly, don't know if it's the right sort of thing but I've basically put why I use the product and what I like about it. All the ones I've contacted is via a form on their website so you fill your address in. Worst that can happen is they don't reply, best case I'll get a suprise in the post!0

Be honest - if you love a product, let them know! Afterall whats the point in freebies of a product you never liked in the first place?
Especially be honest when complaining... you have to think that there are people's jobs at stake if you lie for the sake of a discount/voucher/freebies!
Definitely! The only mails I have sent for far were either compliments to brands I use and like or outright politely put requests to try somethingMay : Jubilee pack, Great British home show tickets :T:j

I'm not sure if i'm allowed to post this here, so I apologize in advance if i'm not, but has anybody else ever done this?
Out of boredom a week or so ago I set myself a challenge to see how many freebies I could get in a month without asking for any... like I said a WEEK ago - and have already received approx £100 in freebies and coupons? This seems mad to me! Not that i'm complaining! But surely other people must have done this before?0 -

options said they'd send me some samples and have sent me too full size products AND a load of samples in a lovely package!

I have never thought of doing this but I am going to have a go. I love freebies, have started emailing a few, received a polite no and a yes from another on free samples.0

I never thought of this. I also work in "the beauty industry" and find out about all new products before they're in the shops and am very opinionated :rotfl: so I may give this a go.
Thanks swimsink, I shall try some of the companies you've emailed.Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -

Olay (query) - very nice reply and some vouchers being sent.
Gilette (request of samples or vouchers) - don't do samples unless launching a product, meh.
Also once complained about visit to Pizza Express and manager kindly compensated the visit with £50, we spent around £60 but it was nice to know he cared.
Will update once I get more replies.
