Freebie Successes by Letter / Email - What have you recieved? (merged)

Just fired off a few emails after reading everyone's successes on this thread. I'm a genuine fan of Lush so sent them an email (which I am v happy to do whether I get anything in return or not) complimenting them on a few products and also praising my local store's staff, who are fantastic and so helpful.

I also emailed McCain's because I tried a product after seeing it in an online survey and really enjoyed it (their Lightly Spiced Potato Wedges) so let them know how perfect it was for my lifestyle/budget and that I'd be trying other products in future. Fingers crossed for a money off voucher because whilst I genuinely will be buying their products again, I'm a student and it would help a bit with the next food shop!

Also emailed Hotel Chocolat as I've always wanted to try their chocolate but find it too expensive to justify, and Wrigleys.

When I was about 8 I asked for a job in Sainsbury's as a taste tester (Spent hours over the wording too)
They sent me a letter back with a £5 voucher which I spent on some icing, some biscuits (To ice) and a doughnuts.

Complained because Ben & Jerrys Phish food had no Phish pieces in it, got a voucher for a free tub of ice cream

Hi I am new to the site and have been reading about the fab freebies you guys have been getting so I thoought I would try complimenting and complaining when i wouldn't normally. my first one was yesterday to Haribo as I love their Tangfastics especially the fizzy cherries but the last 2 packs I have had contained nonebut had loads of teddies which I have not seen before so I wanted to know if the cherries are no more. They were quick to respond today with this

The sweets in this mixture are manufactured individually and then tumble mixed, using an even amount of each item to produce the purchased product. The product is then weighed and bagged on automatic machines. From your description we can only assume that on this occasion there may have been a temporary lack of concentration by the mixing operative and the product has been incorrectly distributed at the input stage resulting in you having received a poor mix.

The bears are not an integral part of the mix and are only included when they become available.

We ask you to accept our sincere apologies for any trouble and inconvenience you have been caused.

So no offer of freebies never mind it was my first try.

i emailed Haribo last year and complained about the tangfastics and i got 2 big bags of Haribo in the post? They may send something in the post aswell, some companies email, and when you think you havent got anything you recieve a surprise in the post
