all we need now is for someone to spot a wireless broadband router for the same sort of price
now that would be good ;D0 -
All good. But does anyone know where to get hold of a USB GPS for satnav on a laptop. Seems to be rare.
Also, as the guy mentioned it's easy to set up the two USB wireless connections but is it just as easy of using a wifi card on your pc and then a pcmcia card on your laptop. I had hell when using 2 pci network cards and setting up a straight through connection. First bought a patch cable instead of crossover, then when I had crossover it didn't want to communicate, then it started randomly working. All kinds of problems. I wonder if wireless will be just as bad!?0 -
Looks like I was right...the price at PC Component Centre WAS wrong....has just gone up to £16.79 inc VAT from £7.99. Good job I got my order in and delivered! ;D
I knew it was too cheap to be true. Anyone else manage to order one OK before the price changed?
The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing:)0 -

Why do you need a wireless router?
I don't have one and share my broadband between 1 pc and 2 laptops (also file and print sharing) no router needed.
XP sorts it all out - well, with a bit of twidling here and there!0 -
In our house we have one desktop and three laptops. I want to set up a wireless network. Getting a router would mean not having to turn on the desktop when I want just the laptop to connect to the internet (I think)!"An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0
