Thats exactly what I do with the two usb wifi adabters I got from ebuyer and I also use it downstairs on my laptop too, its exelent for sharing the internet connection, I have a 512 adsl connection and dont even notice any differance when two are using it. I will be getting a 3rd very soon.
I am very new to this so please be kind. Do you simply buy two of these and plug them in to each computer? Will the software do the rest? The two PCs are in different rooms but only a few feet away.0 -
No you will need a Router or Wireless Access point first.Titch

Depends, Some usb/pci wifi adaptors can work in an adhoc mode and if they do you all need is one wifi adaptor for each PC and this will give you basic Wireless network structure.0

I have no router or access point, just the two wifi usb adapters, one plugged into the main internet pc and the other into my laptop downstairs and now I can get internet on my lappy downstairs with no problems at all.MSE:-)MoneySpendingExpert (-:0 -

All I did was buy two of the usb wifi adapters from ebuyer, followed the instructions, installed software then plugged the adapters in and within mins they were up and running. I have not mastered sharing files between computers (think its a firewall problem)but thats not what I got them for, I just wanted to surf the net on my other pc's. Very easy to set up.MSE:-)MoneySpendingExpert (-:0 -

These are for PC card slots in laptops, not PDAs I'm afraid.
