Cheap Airport Parking Discussion

Hello everyone. I know this is a bit early, cos i'm not flying until sept 2016, however I have a question re parking at Manchester airport.
I'm looking to use the multi storey short stay at term 2.
The last time I used this airport, about 4 years ago, there was a way of getting multi storey short stay at term 2 cheaper by searching for parking at term 2. The search gave you the various options, then if you selected long stay at term 2 it gave you the option of an upgrade to short stay at term 2 at a lower rate than that originally quoted for term 2 short stay. (hope that makes sense ?)
Unfortunately I can't remember the company that I did this through. Does anyone know whether this 'hack' is still available and if so which company was it with.
I have a quotes off official Manchester airport site of £44.79 for long stay term 2 and £79.99 multi storey short stay for 15 nights incl 20% discount.0 -
dadachu, I'm guessing you have probably already seen the below link to cheap parking, but if not maybe one of the below websites mentioned in the link might jog your memory
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/travel/cheap-airport-parking
HolidayExtras 10%-30% off
SkyParkSecure 13%-30% off
Looking4Parking 10%-31% off
APH 12%-20% off
FHR 12%-25% off
I've used HolidayExtras and APH many times to get discount on parking at Manchester Airport and they both seem to be good reputable companies. I would avoid Looking4Parking I found them hopeless with a 'couldn't care less' attitude.0 -
I have dashcam footage from my car whilst it was in the care of Purple Parking, terrible driving and a complete lack of respect for the car.
Unfortunately I'm not able to post here but search Youtube for "airport parking dashcam" and see for yourselves.0 -

Why not park in the official parking where you park it yourself and keep the keys? I'd rather not have someone else driving my car.
Was very good quality dash footage; what camera do you have?0 -
the train service right in to Man airport is good0

A word of warning about Quality Parking at Gatwick--when I dropped off the car, the driver was 40 mins late which jeopardised us catching the flight--no apology or explanation and no inspection of the car which was worrying--on return I had to wait almost 2 hours for the car--the driver just scuttled off--I discovered in driving back on the motorway that there was a chip in the windscreen and some of the driving parameters had been changed--the car was also splattered in mud. They haven't replied to my complaints.0

Park it yourself; keep the keys. It's the only way!0

Users please note that the advertised APH 20% discount is not what it seems, as it does not apply to hotel+parking offers. I had previously got a quote for £194 for such a package, including a 15% discount. The 20% discount offer led to exactly the same price.0
