  • Rather counter-intuitively, Gatwick appears to be opening their "Summer Saver" car park which is near-ish the North Terminal (a bit further past the Long Stay car park) this winter, over the Xmas & New Year period.

It came up on the search results for Holiday Extras and BookFHR, and I thought it might be a mistake, but it also appears on the official Gatwick Parking site.

Perhaps they could come up with a less confusing name for next winter!

Also, the official site seems to be the best bet for cashback for the on-site car parks at Gatwick, with TCB offering 8.08%.
  • I can't get Cheap Gatwick Parking to stay on my screen. The forum appears, then is gone in a second or two.
  • I want to drop off my son at Heathrow Terminal 4, and stay with him for about 2 hours max. Which car park is best for this please?

You can park at any of Heathrow's Long Stay car parks for up to two hours free of charge - see under the Pick-up and drop-off heading towards the bottom of this page.

Note that if you stay for longer than two hours, it will cost £27.30 - so don't! I don't imagine they would offer any leeway on this if you were to go over two hours. If doing this, bear in mind the time needed for the shuttle bus to and from the terminal (both waiting and travel time).

Otherwise you could play it safe and just use the Short Stay car park, which is close to the terminal - £11.30 for 1-2 hours, £13.90 for 2-3 hours

I bought a voucher off Living Social for £1, supposedly giving me upto 32% off my parking. Manchester for a fortnight came up at £69 without the voucher, £58 with it...no where near 32% off (it did say "upto") but well worth the £1...but I didnt realise there were Parking Comparison sites, and special reductions on here..I eventually booked with SkyPark and got it for £41.....thanks MSE....
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

  • But remember, if you hand your keys to someone, your car may be taken to a muddy field somewere, might be used by staff for trips, keys might be left in it, it could get damaged. You have no control over what might happen!

  • For Stansted official (on-site) parking, there are currently some high cashback rates at Quidco and TopCashback - e.g. 17% / 15% on long-stay bookings, or 15% / 17% on Meet & Greet bookings.

Also 12% via both sites on mid-stay and short-stay bookings.
  • Has anyone got any codes for manchester airport parking?

Looking4parking- Terrible terrible company. No manners, no standards or ethics. I used MSE code for discount so people here should know how bad they are, They blocked my phone number so it would not connect after the first phone call -I had to beg a stranger at the airport to call them to collect my car when I waited 30 min in vain and in panic. On return, I had to involve the police to get my car-no other way to contact them as they kept hanging up even when I tried using different phones. They were so rude it was unreal. The Manchester airport attendants told me that every year they go bust and re-surface as a new company the year after. Lesson learnt; Always use official airport car park. It may be a little more expensive but the peace of mind is worth it.
