I've done some work on a hotel site in the past and i've also used Holiday Extras on a couple of occasions. They do have some very good deals, but most of these seem to be out of season i.e when the kids are back at school! When i have found a cheaper price I've found the details of the package and particularly the parking element has been different. Holiday Extras in some cases package hotels with their own car parks Airparks. I don't think sites like booking.com, from what I can see do their own parking packages include parking at the hotel.

  • hi.i have just:(:( booked airport parking at edinburgh airport with this company,as i am in a wheelchair and my daughter has a young baby i booked there meet and greet service £53.99 + 9 pence debit card charge.after booking it i opened my emails and found the link on this page for skypark secure who were offering a cheaper price of £52.19 for the exact same product,so i contacted holiday extras as they offer you a full refund and free parking if you find the same product cheaper within 24 hours.
there response was its not the same product and therefor will not be offering a refund and free parking .
which i think is a disgrace as it is the same product but with a bigger discount through this web site.
there price promise is not worth the paper it written on ,so needless to say myself and my family wont be using this company again.
  • I have been reading the posts about Meet & Greet parking at Gatwick.
Am now worried because we have booked with Gold Parking.
Has anyone views on this company?
    Thank you

Not sure if bournemouth counts as SW, though for those of us who use Bristol this is a good option. The flights there are half the price of Bristol. Just a word about the airport parking. It is right outside the dinky terminal which is great. But when you pre pay and you turn up you are faced with a ticket barrier which looks like you have to pay again. No, just go through the barrier, take ticket and give to nice person at info desk in the terminal and he will give you the correct exit ticket. dont lose it :)

I am trying to book a hotel and parking close to Heathrow airport.
Looked at Money Saving Expert Website and google.
Chosen to search and book with Holiday Extras website.

1- Once you find the best quote it is never available to be booked via internet...

so decided to call and try some help from an attendant...

2 - they are very helpful and polite and search for the best deal again. Normally they find the same hotel on the website for slightly more expensive.

3 - then they get your details including payment details but once you confirm to go ahead they inform someone else got it right now before you...

3 - next step they put you on hold as if they need to discuss and find out...

4 - they come back to you and offer to help you with their next best option which normally is a 'Undercover 4-star hotel'. Obviously that will be more expensive.

They all say we are dealing with a live computer system.

I decided to go via a different website called 'Travel Supermarket' that is powered by the same 'Holiday Extras'... Same happened again in a no different way!!!

I have tried 4 times in different days and I got the very same situation and tactic.

Is that fare? Is that right wasting our time trying to lead us to a more expensive product?

    Anyone having the same experience?

I have had difficulties to book via Holiday Extras .
Their best quote they show on their website and also call centre is not available and they tend to lead you to a more expensive option always... Even if you try the Travel Supermarket website that is powered by the same Holiday Extras .

    Dear all,

I thought it worth warning of my expereince with holiday extras. On looking for hotel and parking at Gatwick at several sites I found a good deal at Holiday Extras OR so i thought. On accepting the deal and proceeding to book right at the end of the booking the site then says Sorry your deal is now £13 dearer. This is after all credit card details are netered etc...

Now I had already seen the same deal cheaper than the final price and I thought OK. I'll claim against their FREE if you find it cheaper system. FAT CHANCE. I followed their procedures, contacted them on a pay 0871 number to then receive. We can't find the dame deal. Sorry no deal. Unlucky. If you send screen shots we will re-investigate. I duly did this still finding the pirce cheaper and hey presto. Not a dickie bird has been heard since.

WARNING. Don't use Holiday Extras on my experience. The cheapest price was on BOOKING.com use them instead. It is just the usual rouse with no substance to it.:(
Same happened to me. Do not waste your time!!!
