Cheap Airport Parking Discussion

Is it just me that I am finding it too difficult to find same products that are offered by Holiday extras?
I need to park @ Heathrow from 26/03/2013 (1800 Hrs) to 08/04/2013 (1900 Hrs).
The options from HE are not same as offered by comparison sites. Also linking to them through MSE gives additional discount. e.g. try skyparksecure. Would HE honour the discounted price offered on these links against the best price guarantee?
Your help would be highly appreciated on this.0 -
Hi, flying from Leeds Bradford for the first time this August. I usually use Newcastle airpot with a discount code but I can't track any down for LB. It must be on site parking for personal reasons, can anyone please help? Thanks in advance :-)0

Everytime I've used Leeds & Bradford Airport I have left my car with LeedsCarParks which have always been amazing!
I found them initially after checking all the major comparison sites which they are the cheapest. They also seem to be the only place offering Indoor & Outdoor parking which is perfect to avoid bad weather conditions.
I've always chosen a meet and greet service which made life so much easier with them bringing my car to me after going through the airport on my return journey, yet you can just leave your car on their site and they will pick you up on their own free shuttle service.
I must admit I have been dubious in the past about leaving my car at other places as you can never be sure about people abusing it or taking possessions, but these guys are really good and have always had a great peace of mind.
I will definitely recommend them to anyone above any other service I have tried.
Their website is leedscarparks.co.uk0 -

Sorry to post again with the same thing more or less but LeedsCarParks will be your cheapest option for sure. I don't have a promotion code to offer you but they are currently running a 10% discount for direct bookings if you give them a call like I did.0 -
Always use price compare sites, usually they keep the amateurs out.0

anyone looked at EMA prices recently, they are very expensive compared to BHX or MAN, I am looking at a week in April and could use an offsite at BHX for £20 namely APH or Airparks. I am now looking at EMA and only car parks are now all onsite and cheapest longterm is £39.99. I guess that since Airparks closed at EMA (Castle Donnington) the airport has decided that it can charge what it likes as their is no competition!!! Does anyone know any other park at this airport. This will lose business because next time we will use BHX or MAN0

Dear all,
I thought it worth warning of my expereince with holiday extras. On looking for hotel and parking at Gatwick at several sites I found a good deal at Holiday Extras OR so i thought. On accepting the deal and proceeding to book right at the end of the booking the site then says Sorry your deal is now £13 dearer. This is after all credit card details are netered etc...
Now I had already seen the same deal cheaper than the final price and I thought OK. I'll claim against their FREE if you find it cheaper system. FAT CHANCE. I followed their procedures, contacted them on a pay 0871 number to then receive. We can't find the dame deal. Sorry no deal. Unlucky. If you send screen shots we will re-investigate. I duly did this still finding the pirce cheaper and hey presto. Not a dickie bird has been heard since.
WARNING. Don't use Holiday Extras on my experience. The cheapest price was on BOOKING.com use them instead. It is just the usual rouse with no substance to it.:(0 -
:mad: As I suspected the Free offer of money back is not worth the paper it is written on after sending in 2 further requests they claim that having parking and room seperately from the same company is not a package!! I will never use these again. As the same package was £15 cheaper thorugh Booking.com. Stupid me for falling for such rubbish.
Do NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU ARE RELYING ON THE MONEY BACK GUARANTEE IT IS JUST MARKETING RUBBISH.
you have been warned.:mad:0 -
Picked up our family car from Pink Pig Parking near Luton Airport. The receptionist told us that the clutch was starting to slip, I could barely get the car out of the car park and there was a distinct burning smell. We returned to the reception area and was greeted by a gentleman who told us that he was only a driver, could not deal with the problem and that they were not responsible for mechanical failure. After a lengthy discussion, he gave us their insurance details, as I was leaving my wife then found out he was the Manging Director of the company. Ended up waiting for a recovery lorry to take us home as the clutch was completely ruined.
Anyone else had problems with these companies?0 -
The clutch would smell if it was gone, so that does not indicate foul play and the chances of a clutch being burned out whilst being driven to an off airport car park is near on impossible.
Having worked in the airport parking industry and having a sound mechanical background, I can tell you now that if your clutch was burned out in the short time it would have taken the chauffeur to drive to the car park, then the amount of residual clutch material would be clearly visible around the clutch plate and shroud. This will be visible when it is repaired and if that is the case then you must take photographic evidence.
One point you should be aware of too,is that car hand brakes quite often seize when parked for over 3 weeks, or so, and if this has happened to your car, it could contribute to a burning smell, or even finish off an already failing clutch. Most companies will not use hand brakes but some may have to.
