What a peculiar carry-on Debenhams website is. I tried to order a quilt and put both the SHA1 & PC5P codes in. They seemed to work ok but when I came to pay it would not authorise my credit card. I tried another credit card and a debit card, but each time it returned "your bank has not authorised the payment".

I rang the credit card company and apparently Debenhams were debiting £1 from my account at each attempt I made to purchase, and then refunding it immediately. This happened several times while I was talking to the guy at the credit card company while trying to make the purchase! I still haven't made the transaction.

I have tried to order - with my debenhams gold card, and it does not accept it!!!!! It then empties everything in my basket. grrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, I've bought something in Debenhams for the first time and noticed that they don't let you track your order from your account, do they?
Do they at least send you a dispatch email?

occasionally, usually only after orders they have part cancelled

And another one bits the dust...

...another order that is. In fact I got 2 cancellations today - 1 was a re-order of an item that they had cancelled over a week ago but the site was showing as in stock in my size, and the other was a suit jacket for my better half. I had also ordered the trousers for that jacket, so I have had to write to them & ask that they cancel that part of the order too.

last night I saw that a pencil skirt had come back in stock that I had previously ordered & had cancelled... what's the betting that this also gets cancelled for a 2nd time.

I like Debenhams for choice & value, but I think their website needs a serious upgrade, cos it clearly can not handle the traffic & keep track of stock.

I have 2 other order that I placed for myself - a pair of black jeans that I really want. I hope that this one doesn't get cancelled.

That's for the codes though everyone - I can still use the 15% & free delivery with success, so I guess I'll continue to re-order items on the off chance that they get returns.
