Hey Myrtle:santa2: nice to see a fellow Sheffielder on here!! I am usually lurking on any Boots threads demanding to know what Meadowhall do and do not have LOL

Thanks so much for the help - the only things I would really like to get is for the littler ones in my family - Dora, Top Gear etc as I think as long as it is the brand they like, they will be happy with it and people will assume it was NOT cheap :rotfl:

My real long shot gift at the moment is Only Fools and Horses so if anyone has any tips please let me know!

I was in the one in Rutherglen yesterday, and got a fabulous speaker to use in your shower - you put your MP3 player inside it. RRP £30, cost £1.99 - I thought that it would make a great present for my nephew:T

If you can make it to hillsborough I would definitely make the effort. The store is much bigger than parkway , is better stocked and is a bit tiier so its easier to spot those bargains!
It is open on Sunday in december too.
Pn the other hand, it's much easier to park at Parkway. There is on-stret parking in hillsborough and a car park on top of the arcade that hb is in.
To give you an idea - on an average trip to Hillsborough I might spent £20, in parkway its normally less than £5 so from a moneysaing aspect parkway would be better but that;s only because there stock is not so good.
Hillsborough has a Wilkinsons nerby if you wanted to do 2 shops at once. Parkway has the asda 5 mins drive away.

Love this shop, love this thread!

Bathgate today had the Lindt Santa and Reindeers for 1.29. They also had a great selection of hobby boxes, I bought the 'medium' size (about the size of an A4 sheet of paper) for 1.49, also had small and extra small and a large double layer box. They had really cute small hot water bottles with knitted covers, I saw 3 styles; union jack, pink polka dot and cream with hearts. Only 1.99 so fab stocking filler I thought. Another stocking filler, the Top Gear cool wall sticker book for 49p. Really nice assorted boxes for wine at 59p. Last but not least, a 1kg bag of sunmaid raisins for 1.69.

BOO HOO i wish i had read this earlier, I thought it was shut on Sundays. The issue with Hillsborough is I work until 5.00 and it shuts 5.30!!! I suppose I could just go on Saturday but I don't really want to leave my shopping until then in case it does NOT have stuff I want - and I don't want to buy other stuff instead as I will just end up going there too :rotfl: I know myself well enough!!!

As I said before the main things I want are kids things with the names/brands - Dora etc as these are where I think I will make the most savings. I can always go v early on Sat morn and go elsewhere/online if it doesn't work out. Thanks so much for the tips!

I will be in the Hillsborough area on Saturday at 3pm anyway.....can you guess why....maybe a HB trip will brighten it up for me!:T
