Lots of Maybelline goodies in my local store. Got 2 packs of nail wraps in a sealed plastic bag for £1 (they look great and have lasted really well- at that price it's 25p a manicure and no hassle waiting for polish to dry, wish I'd bought more!), Hypercosmos eyeshadows- a baked duo in fab glittery colours (looks just like MACs) for £1. They also have juicy tube type lip glosses, loads of nail varnishes and liquid eyeliners- all going for a song!

It pays to check the website before you shop too. My local store did have a sign for the 2/£1 Colgate 100ml maximum protection toothpaste but no signage anywhere for the 2/£1 chocolate covered brazils, they were just on a £1 shelf so I would have missed a good buy.

Garnier dark spot corrector ( bright yellow box) with vitamin c 50ml.

This has very mixed reviews on amazon but worth a try for the cheap price. If it's rubbish which I am expecting then I plan just to use it on my hands.

Noticed they are selling Walkers 4 packs of crisps, down from 5 packs down from 6.

Wonder if other brands will follow.

Also 3 packs of chocolate bars becoming more common, down from 4.

I'm going to two weddings this year. I found some really nice fascinators - 2 for £1. They had cream, black and pink ones. Great quality - as good as any I've seen in any posh department store :dance

A nice trinket box for men, perfect for fathers day, Colgate optic white toothpaste and L'Oreal resist leave in spray.

I purchased a crate from Poundland Ipswich Carr St that says "Beer Stash" on it. It was in the Father's Day section.

Really want a couple of these, but bet they're all gone by Wednesday!

Argyle Street, Glasgow Poundland, not long ago: 40 bags of Clipper Everyday Tea 125g (they also have 40 bags of Yorkshire Tea but I prefer Clipper!), Mess Head Express Yourself Silver Shampoo* 300ml (also have Conditioner) and Ron Burgundy hardback book "Let Me Off At The Top!" (pretty sure I saw this on Hotukdeals about six months ago!**).

They also had Griffin iphone covers "for new iphone 5", whichever one that is (Android user here). (Packaging is like this http://images.esellerpro.com/2477/I/682/344/lrgscaleGriffin%20003.jpg ).

*I usually buy Pro-voke Touch Of Silver Brightening Shampoo, 150ml, £1.99 at Savers. The Mess Head shampoo is hopefully a better budget option for maintaining my peroxided hair, and will last longer!

**Oh well, my memory is really bad, it was much longer than six months ago! http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/ron-burgundy-off-top-classy-life-other-musings-hardcover-3-85-amazon-1683217
