The M&Ms I saw were Peanut Butter variety, woops, my description is slightly wrong (probably because I don't like M&Ms much!). Sorry!

Currently talking about this on Hotukdeals, just a heads-up. 4 pack of XXL Velvet Toilet Rolls.

Some are saying these are Polish and not the UK-brand, and may be different? Worth a try anyway.

Not Poundland but Poundworld, Argyle Street, Glasgow. Picked up one of these earlier, a Disney Princess Figurine Pencil Sharpener, Ariel or Rapunzel versions, not sure what else is out there.

Edit: As this isn't a Poundworld thread I'll update with an edit (1st May): Poundworld (same store) also have Disney Princess flip flops. Elsa & Anna, Olaf, and all the others are there, I got my niece Ariel.

I'm always a bit nervous about my niece playing in flip flops but her mum says she'll make sure they're only for the garden during summer.

My Local store had Sally Hansen Insta Gel Strips... a box of 16 Gel nail varnish strips, 4ml Gel top coat, 2 nail cleaner pads and a cuticle stick, file and buffer! These Gel polish strips need to be cured under a UV lamp, so if you use one anyway (as I do) these are a bargain!
Various plummy shades, a tangy orange colour and a black and white check design....worth trying for £1.
Selling for $13 on the Sally Hansen website..

Picked up a 20g tube of Olay Even & Smooth light day cream for Combo/oily skin. Think it's just a moisturiser but is quite nice.

Also one of those little Vaseline pots, 'Vaseline Paint the Town, red lip tint'.

The makeup counter looked like it had been run into by a bus. Hardly anything there and what was there was damaged.

Has anyone tried the Poundland BB cream? Think it's the Derma V10 brand. I've never even used BB cream, I'm not a fan of foundation, but am starting to get fed up with my face (!) so am thinking of getting some. Just want some light coverage.

    This week I bought:
Radiator paint (I actually bought it in the 99p shop down the road but poundland have an almost identical tin!)
Mellor and Russel hairdye (almost 1/5 the price of my usual hairdye...plan to use it later this week and will update with the results!)

I've used that in the past and got good results. I think I remember it being slightly smaller in quantity (40ml of colour and 40 ml of developer) than some others. It also had quite a strong smell, but I could put up with that.

I've got chin length, very fine hair so it was more than enough for me,
Aldi's hair colour is 50ml of colour and 50ml of developer which is actually too much for me.
I squeeze out half a tube of colour and half a bottle of developer and mix it in a plastic bowl, apply with fingers/root brush, then save the rest carefully sealed, for next time.
If you have short, fine hair you could probably do the same with the Mellor and Russell colourant.
50p for a head of colour, definitely a bargain!

:shocked:Very interesting article in Daily Mail Saturday 25th August

"Proof Poundland's NOT Such A Bargain".
Basically 13 different favourite foods were tracked and prices shown that they were cheaper in supermarket.
The article quoted a report claiming that Poundland charged up to 50 per cent more than other stores and that while its goods may have the lowest price, they are often traded in smaller volumes.

    Heinz Beanz - Poundland: Heinz Beanz, 3 x 150g. £1
    Price Per 100g. 22.2p
    Tesco: Heinz Beanz, 3 x 200g. £1.25
    Price per 100g. 20.8p
    Price Saving per 100g. 1.4p
Percentage Saving per 100g. 6.3 per cent.

    Pepsi Diet Cola
Poundland: Pepsi Diet Cola. 1.5 litres, £1
    Price per Litre; 67p
Asda: Pepsi Diet Cola, two litres, 98p
    Price per Litre: 49p
    Price Saving per Litre: 18p
Percentage Saving per Litre: 26.8 per cent
Same product, smaller size and more expensive per bottle. You'll get more for even less at Asda.

    Kellogg's Corn Flakes
    Poundland: Kellogg's Corn Flakes, 250g. £1
    Price per 100g: 40p
    Tesco: Kellogg's Corn Flakes, 750g. £1.98
    Price per 100g; 26.4p
    Price Saving per 100g: 13.6p
Percentage Saving per 100g: 34 per cent

It's generally true with supermarkets that the bigger the packet, the more you save. As Poundland doesn't sell huge cereal packets, it's not the place to buy your corn flakes.

Bernard Matthews Wafer Thin Turkey Ham
Poundland: Bernard Matthews Wafer Thin Turkey Ham, 200g. £1
    Price per 100g: 50p
Asda; Bernard Matthews Wafer Thin Turkey Ham, 400g, £1.48
    Price per 100g; 37p
    Price Saving per 100g: 13p
Percentage Saving per 100g: 26 per cent
Poundland's packaging claims there's 42 per cent extra free. But buy the Asda pack that's double the size for just 50p more and you'll find it a much better bargain.

    Ambrosia Devon Custard
    Poundland: Ambrosia Devon Custard, 3 x 400g, £2
    Price per 100g: 16.7p
Morrisons: Ambrosia Devon custard, 400g, 50p
    Price per 100g; 12.5p
    Price Saving per 100g: 4.2p
Percentage Saving per 100g; 25.1 per cent

Ambrosia Devon Custard is one of the few things in Poundland for more than its famour £1. But while you seem to get a lot - three tins - for £2. if you buy just one at Morrisons, you'll make a massive saving. It's the same for Ambrosia Rice Pudding - three 400g cans from Poundland for £2 while just one is 50p in Morrisons.

This being said, I love 99p and Poundland stores and have bought some great bargains over the years.
Perhaps it's just with food that we need to be aware
