I watched that too..wasn't it watch dog? I couldn't believe currys were trying to get people to part with £60-100 for a cable that did exactly the same as one from the pound shop!im tray not davey...pinched my hubbys account!!!
I must stop buying smellies..well until i spot a bargain!
never turn a bargain /freebie down you just never know when you need it0 -
I saw that show on channel 4 something about tricks that shops and salespeople play to get you to part with your cash!
Apparently HDMI cables all work exactly the same because they are digital and therefore you only get better picture quality based on what you are plugging them into etc but as far as the leads are concerned they are all the same.0 -
I have been using a Poundland HDMI cable for a year now together with a Sony BluRay player and Sony TV - no problems at all and they work fine for me.
The only disadvantage is the 1 metre length, the rip off more pricey alternative at Currys/PC World or wherever is just a bit longer but never justifies what they charge for them there.0 -
Popped into Poundland for the said HDMI cable and had a quick browse whilst it was quiet. Was seriously impressed by the new range of goodies it had in stock. There were some lovely craft materials available, which I can predict will be gone when the Christmas stock comes in (I stopped myself from buying this), loads of packing and storage solutions, and the cutest mini worktop savers (macaroon, 2 designs). Wish I had the space but my titchy kitchen is already stuffed to the gills with bakewareValue-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Has anyone spotted any Sinful Colors Nail Polish? Bought some a while back & really like it but haven't seen it since.0

Noticed crisp multipacks across several brand have gone from 6 packs to 5.
In some cases both sizes of a brand are on the shelf at the same time so watch what you pick up0 -

I've got a huge collection of Sinful Colors polishes now, I love them
. There was a time recently I bought new ones every trip but they disappeared. I spotted a few in my local last week- limited colours though- so perhaps they're on their way back.
They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.0 -
has anyone seen any European travel adaptor plugs in the land of pound recently? I went into one of my local ones today, they only had the UK ones.0
