Picked up a few NYC eyeliners at Trongate, Glasgow (lots there)..thanks again!! :)

Also got "Amazing Value" 300g Strawberries & Cream sweets, and a rather nifty Tool Box..most of mine are scattered in various drawers, so much-needed.7467.jpg

    Dimensions please?

I can't believe it would be full sized, and if its smaller it might be handy to keep my make-up supplies in order. Of course I would neatly remove the label first.. ;)

According to this http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/toolbox-plastic-tool-storage-1-poundland-1233550 the Tool Box is '12'' long, 6'' thick, 4'' tall'.

*There's a few people complaining on that thread about the handle coming off and the plastic clasp not working properly. I'm only going to keep it in a drawer for storage/occasional use, so it's fine for my purposes.

A good size for travelling, would fit nicely in a corner of a suitcase, thanks :)

Not really new from Poundland but worth a shout if you're looking out for kitchen utensils.

Amongst other items, Argyle Street, Glasgow has pink, purple and turquoise (if I remember right) silicone whisks with metal handles that look very nice. Also, a garlic press, which comes in purple.

Handy for use with a non-stick pans on the stove-top.

The silicone whisk looks very nice but in my experience it didn't work so well as the metal ones. It got deformed very quickly, not sure how tbh, but it was binned.

One Poundland kitchen item I love is the magic-style can opener, my black and white one is actually easier to use than the Magican, which doesn't have a gap to lever the two handles back open when the lid is off. The Poundland one does.

My arthritis prevents much walking in winter so I haven't been in £land for ages, suffering withdrawal symptoms! I wish they would open in my town so I could just park my trike outside their door. I emailed them about this ages ago, as smaller towns locally have stores, but they just said they had no plans to open one.
We do have Aldi, Wilko's and Heron Foods so discount stores are successful here.

Another one I forgot to add was a whopping Ragu Bolognese jar, a value pack with 727g of sauce instead of 454g.

Edit: Spoke to sis about the garlic press as she's quite a passionate chef (haven't used it yet), she reckons it's "rubbish" and falls to bits after a few uses. She told me to splurge and get a decent one. Oh well.
  • I found Flexitol Very Dry Skin Cream 125g. Seems to retail around the £9 mark elsewhere. Its this one:

With 2 small children i am constantly washing my hands, add the winter chill and i'm hoping this cream will sort out my very chapped hands once and for all!
  • Also noticed a new store opening in Sheffield, where TJ Hughes used to be, opposite Primark/tram stop. Yay!

This new store is now open!
