Picked up "And Another Thing" by Eoin Colfer, it's the sixth instalment of the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy Trilogy.

Also 6 packs of Tunnocks Caramel Wafers.

    Both at the Metrocentre Poundland

Tunnocks' Teacakes are my favourite (Aldi is doing them for 82p a packet of 6, if I remember right)..and I don't live too far away from Uddingston ;)

Thanks for the mention of the Hitchhikers' book, my sci-fi mad brother would be into that, I think (already got him Star Wars blurays..don't understand buying a movie you've already seen 1000 times on a million formats, but I'm not a fan!).
  • They had some lovely Xmas thick red felt table mats, with snowflake cut outs, but they only had 3 left! Hoping they get some more as I think they will look lovely. They had coaster mats too
  • I got Dairy Milk Oreo in Birmingham New Street yesterday, not eaten it yet but it certainly won't last long!
  • Maybelline express nail varnish in loads of colours. Selection of paperbacks three for a pound.
A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.

Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.

Has anyone seen the touchscreen gloves that they had in last year...?
Had a disappointing trip to my local store - no gloves.

Primark have touch screen gloves for £1. Grey with light grey tips on thumb and forefinger on both hands.
Then popped into Primarni for them - but they were £1.50 and not particularly good quality.

    I'd rather wait for Poundland.

Does anyone know if they come if different colours? Would they be ok size wise for an 11 year old?

Re empty boxes in Poundland - this happens a LOT in some stores apparently. Happened to me with some Diocalm, the tablets themselves are so light that the box doesn't register as empty.

Luckily I take tablets I'm familiar with out of boxes at home, so found out before needed them. I learned that lesson...!

The same type of tablets are now down to 60p in Wilk*'s anyway. Same amount of active ingredient.

  • Got a lovely wee pink Xmas tree from the Argyle St branch (Old Woolies),it's only a wee one but it's perfect for my 18months old daughter for her bedroom. Not bad for a pound when I opened it all out and spread the branches.
  • It's quite a specific one and it doesn't happen often but I once found an obscure Bonzo Dog Doo-dah band CD there and sold it on Amazon for £9.00.
