Went into the Deal store today and got 4 disney hard cover books! RRP on the back is £2.99. Really nice quality looking books. The front cover of each has a cut out window with the main character inside. Also a shiny pattern on a matt background. Sorry i can't get a photo up at the moment, but i bought 4 out of 5 and will be checking daily for any more!
They had:
Peter Pan
The Lion Kind
101 Dalmations
The Jungle Book
Beauty and the Beast0 -
Sorry, can't figure out how to put the pic up, but found the book i got on amazon:

Just back on the touchscreen gloves subject, I've been into Home Bargains today and they had them in little boxes at £1.49. Opened the box and had a good look and these are twice as thick as the Poundland ones and also a lot bigger. They are only available in black.
Personally I'd recommend paying the extra 50p for the HB ones, much better quality!0 -

There was a retweeted pic on their twitter feed yesterday & those gloves were white, so maybe they will have more colours coming in.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Ohhh, well only black ones in the Freeport Stoke store, but bought myself a pair as they are a lot warmer

I know this is poundland thread but continuing from the comments and pic above re gloves!!! Today they (HB) had the gloves in boxes as above and also some phone gloves hanging on a rack. These were black with grey fingers or cream with brown fingers. They were 99p a pair but nowhere near as thick as the one in the box but they were made by the same company as above - phone tech! Have not seen cream ones before. No buying toiletries challenge - possibly for most of 2011,2012,2013,2014,2015!

The boxed ones really are thick aren't they? Very warm and snugly. I've given my poundland ones to DD0 -
They don't have these gloves in my Poundland and there is no Home Bargains near me so I bought some black ones from Primark for £1.50. Lovely and warm.0
