was in wisbech poundland & the 'me to you' choc advent calenders were 2 for £1. They had 2 different designs.
They are kinnerton choc & I know some people aren't so keen on it. But I thought a not bad price really.
They did have other designs but they WEREN'T included. It was just the me to you ones.
They were on the shelving on the right hand side just after going into the shop.

    possibly just a local deal?

Just rechecked. Not kinnerton but Beacon confectionery. Never heard of them, will use the hubby as a test subject :)
when life gives you lemons, stick them in your top & pretend you have pointy boobs.

I know this is poundland thread but continuing from the comments and pic above re gloves!!! Today they (HB) had the gloves in boxes as above and also some phone gloves hanging on a rack. These were black with grey fingers or cream with brown fingers. They were 99p a pair but nowhere near as thick as the one in the box but they were made by the same company as above - phone tech! Have not seen cream ones before.

Finally found them in the Stroud branch of Home Bargains today. Had a REALLY good look for them & couldn't see them, so I asked and a girl showed me where they were, but there was only one pair left (mixed in with ladies leather gloves!) and they had a hole in, so went to pay for my other bits, then as I was queuing, I spotted several pairs in another section by the till, right on the lowest shelf. They weren't the boxed ones, unfortunately, but never mind. Cost 99p and look better quality than the poundland ones, but only black or white. Poundland had black, blue or purple.

Went to the Cheltenham poundland tonight. Oh my goodness-it's HUGE! :T Bought some sarnies reduced to 25p, a pack of the snowflake cellophane bags and two chocolate advent calendars. Saw a sign saying 2 for £1 and chose one Me to You and one Disney one. After I paid, I realised it was too much & went back to check the offer. It did say on the sign that it's the Me To You ones, but I hadn't noticed that before, so I went to the till & nicely explained that I didn't realise it was the one design only and could I please exchange it. Guy got really funny with me and said "It DOES say!" I apologised (again!) and he sighed and said "I'll have to get the supervisor". I know working in retail is hard & Saturdays are crazily busy, but his attitude to me was really not called for.

Anyway, it had plenty of the pudding and Santa bin bags if that helps anyone. Very well stocked store. Had many of the items mentioned.

The Thomas bath crayons were in Superdrug a few weeks ago for around £4-5 so worth looking out for! Hope I find some on my travels, I have a Thomas-obsessed toddler in my life :)

Argyle Street, Glasgow Poundland: Found bath crayons (Fireman Sam this time) but alas, only a single packet and ripped to bits, with half crayons in it :( Hope they get more.

Actually, I've found that sometimes, boxed goods that you get home and then realise there's items missing! People must pinch things a lot in Poundland. Unfortunately.

One of Katie Price's books, I THINK it was "In The Name Of Love" but I'm not a fan so didn't look that closely. (*Went there a day later, it was "Paradise", in the Union Street Poundland).

"iCarly" Nickelodeon perfume (cologne)..*they also do another variety of kid's perfume called "Tinkerbell Forever Neverland".

Also Disney Princess and Fairies pants for little ones..they also have Thomas The Tank Engine, Spongebob Squarepants and Minnie Mouse.

Edit: There was a big sign in-store with a promotion: If you spend £10 you get a free £5 Mecca Bingo voucher. I won't be hurrying along, but may be useful to someone. http://www.poundland.co.uk/competitions/mecca-voucher/ From today, until the 2nd of December (Sunday).

Someone's grumping about Poundland encouraging gambling on the Facebook page but nobody's making you go there (or to Poundland, for that matter)!

Oh, and mini Lego figures in the Union Street Poundland. And a Doctor Who book too, fiction, in a red cover (*"The Coming Of The Terraphiles" by Michael Moorcock, I'll resist making a pun): http://www.amazon.co.uk/Doctor-Who-The-Coming-Terraphiles/dp/1846079837 "Absolute guff" says one blunt reviewer; oh well, my brother's getting it in his stocking anyway ;)
  • Just back on the touchscreen gloves subject, I've been into Home Bargains today and they had them in little boxes at £1.49. Opened the box and had a good look and these are twice as thick as the Poundland ones and also a lot bigger. They are only available in black.
Personally I'd recommend paying the extra 50p for the HB ones, much better quality!

Primark are now selling them for £1.50 too!
