Bought two pairs of cuddly fleecy soft socks the other day. One pair was completely unwearable due to a mass of tangled threads inside - these were red with grey blotches.
The other pair I am wearing as I type, red and black 'Dennis The Menace' style stripes, these are fine.
Because the tops were tagged shut, it was impossible to check them before I bought them. They are trainer - liner size rather than ankle socks.
    Caveat emptor - buyer beware!
Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.
