Jjust a note that Poundlands After Eights are 200g for £1. Co-op have 300g bogof for £3.00 so if it easier for you to get there the costs are the same
    e.g 3x 200g = 600g £3 or 2 x 300g = 600g £3

The QI Annual is the one from a year or two back; they had lots left in the Darlington store.

They also had cricketer Matthew Hoggard's (Hoggy's) autobiography. (Hoggy: Welcome to My World: The Peculiar World of Matthew Hoggard) Published last year; four and a half stars on Amazon.

I got Diocalm, v.useful to have in the cupboard over Christmas, £1.93 in Tesco.

The household equipment makers Minky had a huge heavy duty scrubbing pad, like a giant pan scouring pad. I think it's a general purpose DIY/household pad.

Terry's Twilight's came in a new style presentation box, individually wrapped but loose, no wasteful plastic inserts.

I've used the £1 hairdyes a few times now and they are fine. I often use them instead of a root-touch up kit.

I didn't get the giant snowflake window clings that I saw the other week, but lots of little snowflake window clings c. 2 inches square, that are off white and very pretty.

they have the 2010 qi annual in works for 99p

They had olay cleansing wipes and loads of cleand and clear stuff in today and johnsons holiday lotion
Needing to lose weight start date 26 December 2011 current loss 60 pound Down. Lots more to go to get into my size 6 jeans
  • Had lots of Antony Worrall Thompson kitchen utensils - lots of different ones. Also purchased Coronation Street Romanian & Africa one - they are currently selling for £6 odd on amazon - stocking fillers for my Corrie mad mum. An interactive tv game thing & Deal or No Deal for my brother as he hates it with a passion and like to please him on Christmas day. This was in Dereham yesterday.
There are only two things a child will share willingly - communicable diseases and their mother's real age
  • I went yesterday and today armed with a list from everyone's great buys, but didn't really get any of what was on it. I did buy a 30ft roll of Velcro, said on packet it was for fastening Xmas decorations but I'll use it to keep cables tidy on all my small appliances.
  • Bargain-ish - got a Lid Safe Can Opener yesterday. between £1.99 and £4.99 online plus postage. Wouldn't want to rub the lids all over myself as it suggests on the box, but is definitely the best can opener I have had for a pound.
So so SO tired of being ripped off, and mislead
    Hope sharing saves some pain.

    I got a drain snake

Our bathroom sink tends to get clogged a lot due to the type of soap we use and having two long haired females in the house. The drain snake pack has two in there, one thin ended one for the sink and a wider one for the shower or bath.
I have just experimented and had a go with the sink one and it works!
Brought up a clump of hair straight away on the first attempt.

Where about in the shop is the drain snake? I tried asking two assistants but they didn't speak much English and it was hard to explain!

In my store it was in the DIY bit. It's quite a small pack ; looks like electrical cables in the pack so easy to miss.
Also, on my pack it says sink snake so that may cause confusion too.
  • I got Tony Blackburn's autobiography in the camberley shop yesterday - its on play for £14.50!!!
