Hi
Just been in to the store in Worthing, Sussex and got some great things...
Santa christmas mug - mug is Santa's sack and the lid is Santa's legs, as he has fallen in.
Disney Princess and Princess and Frog eau de toilette
Pack of 4 glass angel tree decorations
Stacks of kids cutlery. The store has all four sets - Toy Story 3, Cars, Princes and Winnie the Pooh. I think someone desperately wanted some - I have a few spares available.
Gel snowflakes for Laneyboo - give me a shout! Oh, and I found the packs with the floor tiles, for some reasons, and other gel window stickers with the cleaning mops and things.
Neoprene sleeves for laptops. Get a perfect one for mine.0 -
QI annuals had all sold out when I popped in today. Been keeping an eye on the toys section, but nothing decent for really little ones in my store. Did notice the mini top trumps though, and Disney cutlery sets back in. Also some Disney princes bowls with lids sets, and Thomas the tank plates and bowls (and cutlery).A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0

I bought Mr Men re-usable hand warmers today, great for stocking fillers. They had lovely knee high socks for girls sz 12-3. Also fun womans socks. I also picked up gel window stickers which my wee one loves. They had Fi Fi annuals and QI annuals. Twighlight mints were back in stock along with masses of after eights!0

The QI Annual is the one from a year or two back; they had lots left in the Darlington store.
They also had cricketer Matthew Hoggard's (Hoggy's) autobiography. (Hoggy: Welcome to My World: The Peculiar World of Matthew Hoggard) Published last year; four and a half stars on Amazon.
I got Diocalm, v.useful to have in the cupboard over Christmas, £1.93 in Tesco.
The household equipment makers Minky had a huge heavy duty scrubbing pad, like a giant pan scouring pad. I think it's a general purpose DIY/household pad.
Terry's Twilight's came in a new style presentation box, individually wrapped but loose, no wasteful plastic inserts.
I've used the £1 hairdyes a few times now and they are fine. I often use them instead of a root-touch up kit.
I didn't get the giant snowflake window clings that I saw the other week, but lots of little snowflake window clings c. 2 inches square, that are off white and very pretty.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
Hubby and I have practically moved in to our local poundland which is located next door but one to home bargains!! :-D
In Mansfield store:
- Jim Bean liqueur chocs (though lots of other choices too)
- Deal or No Deal DVD Game
- Gok Wan book on what to wear (hubby bought me this 2 years ago at Christmas, think he was slightly miffed he could have saved the money. lol)
- Fingers on Buzzer DVD Game (brilliant! made by channel 4, good game and narrated by liverpudlian comedian I forget the name of)
- Spongebob torch
- Spongebob mini top trumps
- Disney pixar mini top trumps
- Dragons den book
- 'Getting into Guiness' book (about a man's attempts to get into the book at any expense. looks hilarious!)
for anyone who goes there, just a reference that the cupcake mugs are completely sold out now.:jGoals for 2015:jWin £2015 in 2015: £304.08/£2015Reach goal for house depositReach 11st (4.5lbs to go)0 -
I got Bio Oil in Stratford. Retails at 14.99Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
And we were young.
