    Dear diary...

I have been a bad bad money saving person...:o Having a birthday can be an expensive thing... and the birthday money I was going to put away towards F&F offers has somehow vanished. :o Nothing to do with the lovely new baskets in my bedroom or those new dvds....

I do still have £500 in an ISA already for the F&Fs so it's not too bad, and I've done loads of overtime already this month and more to come this next week. I will be good from now until Christmas and I'll try to be goodish then.

That list of things I was going to do is mostly undone... the potatos and cabbages are planted but that's it.

I've had a letter from HSBC saying they'll accept my reduced payment fi i combine all three debts in to a managed loan, pretty sure they are bad things.

Must do better this week, I am at last feeling a bit better, can't believe it has lingered so long.

    Things to do this week:
    • Send that blooming phone back, I hate the old one I am using, the button that I need to use the most only works half the time.
    • Sort out some ebay stuff.
    • Talk to CCCS about this managed loan offer from HSBC.
    • Write to GE Money, they keep sending me demanding letters.
    • Cancel creditexpert.
    • Update my spreadsheet.
    • Stop spending money. :o
    • Plant som emore lettuce to be growing indoors, I'm hoping to have my own supply of lettuce all year. :D
    • Make some mint jelly, I was given some apples and have loads of mint.
    • Freeze some of my plentiful parsley before it starts to die ready for parsley sauce etc..
I'm loving growing and eating my own veg and fruit, I'm going to see if I can find room to grow even more next year.

  • looking forward to the update on the list Bau. I wish i could stop the spending money bit as well.
lettuce sounds great can you reccomend any nice tasting varieties?
Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:

I generally just get mixed salad leaves packs, they are ready to eat quicker and you can grow them indoors in winter. My favourite individual lettuce is lambs lettuce but it is quite slow at growing. Rocket is a quick and abundant grower if you like it, will take over if you're not careful!!! :D

    Update on creditors:

HSBC - will accept DMP if I agree to combining all three debts in to a managed loan, which is not going to happen. Will keep writing until they give in!!!

Barclaycard - no communication at all, but on my credit file it says agreement so I'm guessing that means they have agreed. :D Just need to find out what the interest is, was quite low anyway but hopefully now 0%.

MBNA - agreed, no interest or charges. :D :j

GE Money (debenhams) - will not accept as I have used the card recently... apparently they do this though and after 3 months it should be accepted.

GE Money (evans) - nothing but demands from them and they're trashing my credit file over £400. (Which is surprisingly still, evans aside, blemish free - I know it won't last) I wish I'd not included it in the DMP and just paid it off somehow.

I've just logged in to my HSBC online banking and they've increased my overdraft limit.

I'm not even looking at my to do list, I know I haven't done anything on it. :o

Still being bad bau. :o The only good thing I've done is works loads of extra hours so another nice big pay packet on the way.

I really am going to have to get my butt in to gear, I'm working all weekend so not likely to get anything done any time soon. I think I'd be more motivated if my lovely creditors were being co-operative, only 2 have been helpful and whilst the others aren't ringing or even writing that much they aren't saying anything positive. I knew this wouldn't be easy I just hoped it would be a little easier...

Most of my french beans went and died on me. :( They were doing lovely and then the day after my stupid neighbour had his whole yard pressure cleaned with nasty chemicals they started going a runny colour and withered.
