Ironing all done - I have no idea how many items, just ironed and watched Top Gear with DS2 commentry of the show.
Just going to put the WM on and then head up soon.
DS2 has had a bit of a bloodshot eye for a couple of weeks so think I'll pop him into the optition whilst in town and see what they say.
Welcome newbies, sleep tight and rest those wings for tomorrowThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
I'll be in where i can this week - feeling good now as i have just spent an hour packing for the kids, and i am being superorganised and seperated out things we need for the 1st 2 nights in the B and B and for the wedding, just got my wedding outfit in the WM, washed DS2's outfit earlier today, and know i am getting there. Also found DS1 a waterproof coat that my grandad bought him must be a year ago, and seems though we were going to buy him one that saves a bit of dosh.
While looking at the clothes i realised that i don't have many nice clothes for the bottom half of me. I bought a few new T-shirts the other week, but think i might need to buy some bottoms this week. Firstly though, i will look through the suitcase under the bed of stuff not worn in a while. I am funny at the moment as things will fasten, but then my stomach flops over the top, or it is so baggy that it falls down. Can't win - must be a bit between sizes.
Anyway, enough waffling for now.

Forgot to say that i have also been a demon in the kitchen this evening. Made us a mince and tatty pie, saved some for ds1 to eat tomorrow so that is a main meal for him just needing reheating, and then added some passata to the remaining mince, and made it into canneloni (using up the tubes i had bought on a whim years ago and out of date this month) for tomorrow night, so just needs heating up. Also had a brain wave that when i go back to work in March and teach Mon/wed/fri only, if i double cook on Sun/Tue/Thur i will really take the pressure of myself in one area at least.
kazwookie hope tomorrow goes as well as it can for you
kazmeister well done on your busy day - don't think i would be able to spend that long without a cuppa or the computer - need one or the other
soappie glad today was another good one - good friends are worth keeping.
boddy glad your mum had a good birthday
welcome to blackwidowz and foddy and bettie
the peg thing - usually i run out while ds1 is distracted to peg stuff out, and use the first one to hand - otherwise, take him with me and he passes me the one he wants me to have. Ironing i like to do - don't do silly things like socks/pants/dusters/towels, but do like to do everything else for me and the boys, and DH isn't even allowed to look at my clothes or he creases them. I do it when i can. The pile is quite big at the minute as DS2 has been awake till 9pm for the past week or so. It is never empty completely.0 -
Im in defo for this week. I never got anything done when i came on half way through the week, so at least I cant make tomorrow a new start. Im glad its the kitchen, going to go for a level 3, it really does need it.

I've been thinking of ways to cut costs on the heating etc, and I'm going to add them to my flying lists.
I've decided the next time I go to Asda I'm buying a washing up bowl SPECIFICALLY for washing up, it will save hot water as I won't be filling the sink up with as much hot water. Might even just take to boiling the kettle instead of having the emersion heater on so much. Currently thinking of getting the round 6l one.. but I'll have to see when I get there.
I know its August but I'm thinking ahead to the winter already. I'm going to work on sourcing thick curtains for the house, and working out how much of that instant glazing stuff I need to buy to triple glaze the windows. I should also think about getting some expanding foam and re-sealing around the outside of the windows, especially the downstairs ones which are the only ones I can reach without a proper ladder. I also need to speak to the landlady about getting someone out to look at the guttering that's leaking when we have heavy rain, which explains the mould on the wall in my room. Will also get some pipe lagging or something to make draught excluders for all the doors... I wonder about something for the upstairs doors  Might put curtains up on them as well on the landing side... Maybe get another rug for the dining area of the living room as well for when we're sitting at the table eating our hearty stews.
Oh well, I should really go and tidy the kitchen. Catch you tomorrow :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Kazwookie - thinking of you today, take careDon't put it down, put it away - thanks Valli
Thank you to all who post competitions & help the smooth running of the comps board0 -
Good evenig folks, have had a manic weekend and a busy week ahead. I'm feeling really down as you all seem to be domestic godesses, making jam, gardening, ironing and matching pegs! I joined last week on Friday, and managed to get most bits done to L3, and I promised myself I would finish off the rest this weekend and sort out the dreaded conservatory which has turned into a dumping ground mostly for toys. I haven't done any flying this weekend at all. But chin up and time to get into gear tomorrow.
I have 2 young boys 3 and 2 months, but can't use them as an excuse - michelle - you are a real inspiration because mine are not as young as yours, how do you do it?
pigpen - if I recall correctly you have 6 children and still have your house in order, how do you keep them all occupied and budget so effectively?
Anyways here's my list, will try to do to level 3 as the kitchen definately needs it, also need to go to Tescos to get some cleaning stuff.

Morning all
Slept very well indeed. Realised this morning as I looked out the kitchen window the nights are getting longer again. There was the reflection of the rising sun on windows out the back that hasn't been there for a couple of months. Ah me, it'll soon be Christmas.....
Right, bath, dress, work.
I'll battle with the kitchen when I get home (after my check up with the dentist)
Have a good day ladiesI am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Morning Flyladies
Failed by Thursday last week, will stick to level one again this week.
The windowsill is scary though, we have a huge windowsill in our living room, big hotspot ! Everything from son's homework to mobile phone chargers, but it's not going to get any better unless I tackle it head on.DC.
