Of course they will know what their produce is like. Look at this thread and people saying the same thing. I worked in retail for 13 years, people do complain (people who complain though just assume they're the only ones though), this thread will probably be a millionth of the amount of complaints Morrison's have had over the years.

Have they changed? No. Otherwise no one would have posted here. They will have a business model of selling a certain type of produce at a certain price. They'll know sometimes it will go off quickly more so when the weathers warm.

You won't be telling them anything new/they already don't know.

People don't seem to realise this but it's true.

so what would you do if you received a bad product or service in a store then? what if you saw the fresh chicken freezing then being allowed to thaw(a health hazard) would you just walk away because it doesn't affect you!

i know lot of people complain but i don't agree with your quote that people who complain think they are the only ones though!
when i was at customer services several other people were there too, some complaining that they had been overcharged

but it is a well known fact that many people, myself included throw away food which has gone off too quick rather than take it back and complain

you quote that Morrison's know what their produce is like, so they know they are selling below standard food or food that could make someone ill,but that doesn't matter!

i suppose the only way you can vote is with your feet! and as i said i will not be buying any fresh food there, if every consumer did this they would have to change, or they would lose profit.

Delete Morrisons insert any other supermarket - very much the same would apply. Branches do differ a lot - they are not standard. A lot depends on the local manager (and probably clientele as well - if it's in a chav area it will reflect their (or should that be there :D ?) standards)

For example round here Morrisons are the best for quality (and often cheapest) of all the local supermarkets for vegetables. Presumably they have a greengrocery manager who cares.

But wherever you shop, if you get something that's gone off too soon - take it back and complain. They will be logging the reason - if it happens too often Head Office will be on their backs soon enough.

Just to stick a spanner in the works:D , I buy my fresh veg and meat (in fact my weekly shop) from Waitrose, if not a local greengrocer or farm. I would always go for quality than quantity and eat less of it. On the rare occasions when I've had to take something back, eg some chicken breasts that were decidedly wiffy:eek: , I got a replacement plus my money back and the shop assistant didn't even want to smell them.

I truly believe you get what you pay for;) .

It's the luck of the draw.

Living where I do in London the only Morrisons has to complete with a few Sainsburys including a hypermarket within a mile, a few Tescos including a hypermarket within a mile, 2 Asda's, 2 Waitroses and a few Lidls. Plus there are various fruit and veg shops.
    I'm not cynical I'm realistic :p

(If a link I give opens pop ups I won't know I don't use windows)
