i too often route through the trays underneath, but still i dont think the fresh is all that in those trays either;)
and morrisons frozen food is often all stuck in one big block, as if it been allowed to defrost before being frozen again;)
i tried their ice cubes the other week(lazy i know) and have to use a hammer to get a single ice cube;)0 -
Drinkupretty,I know what you mean because until six years ago I couldn't drive either so know where you are coming from.We go once a fortnight because Mr K refuses to go each week but we are fortunate to have our old fridge freezer from where we used to live so when we have found and bought fruit and vegetables that are really fresh which isn't very often, they last quiet well foir the two weeks until we have to go again.
At least when our mums used to go and do the perishable shopping there were shops quite local which were easy enough to walk to as she didn't drive either and the stuff always looked better quality. She normally went every couple of days and would take her own heavy duty bag especially for the potatoes to be tipped straight into.
A lot of the youngsters these days shrug because a)they wouldn't have a clue what the difference is between a Sweet Corn cob or a Mange Tout pea or b) would rather spend their work time chatting to the boys doing the shelf stacking.Well thats what they all seem to do in our local Supermarket0 -
morrisons are an american company(correct me if im wrong please) would the americans put up with shoddy food, i dont think so:D
Morrisons are not American. They are British

Safeway before it used to have some ties to the American Safeway supermarkets but that was a very long time ago.0 -

I find all supermarkets fresh food not lasting long. more so during the summer months. I have changed shopping habits to eat/buy fresh produce when needed. lucky for me a supermarket, local butchers etc are on my way home from work.
support local sales, and avoid the supermaket0 -
I decided to start buying fruit and veg from the local market a few months ago as the prices at the supermarket were going up - I am really pleased that I did, not only is it half the price but the quality is excellent (it is a really big stall that I go to, where you can select your own items).0

Morrisons fruit and veg is the worst I've ever come across. The fruit goes from rock-hard to rotten with no in-between edible stage. Having said that, the hardest working staff member is the chap they pay to bruise the bananas. Puts his heart & soul into it, he does.
Morrisons is ¼ mile from my house. I shop at ASDA, 6 miles away. :rolleyes:If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

Alcohol almost twice the cost of ours, bread twice the cost of ours, electricity twice the cost of ours this could go on for some time.
People just assume everythings better somewhere else. They come out with "they woudn't put up with this in...........", load of rubbish, a classic example of the grass is greener.0 -
as for complaining i think people should complain about things if they are not right, in the hope that Morrison's will make a change that will help EVERY customer that shops there:D
Of course they will know what their produce is like. Look at this thread and people saying the same thing. I worked in retail for 13 years, people do complain (people who complain though just assume they're the only ones though), this thread will probably be a millionth of the amount of complaints Morrisons have had over the years.
Have they changed? No. Otheriwse no one would have posted here. They will have a business model of selling a certian type of produce at a certain price. They'll know sometimes it will go off quickly more so when the weathers warm.
You won't be telling them anything new/they already don't know.
People don't seem to realise this but it's true.0
