You sound like you have it all sorted in theory for making some big bucks, just need to practice it. I'm not that bad of a buggy holic, but if I had the confidence to buy and sell then maybe I would be.

Good luck with the carboot tomorrow, I keep saying to oh that we should do one but it's the getting up early that puts me off lol. Would need a good old sort out as well. Think I'll stick with ebay and amazon for a while and see how I go.

Yukibear sometimes carboots are worth teh hassle the first one i did made 50 but some people take over £100. The thing is somethings sell better at carboot and you avoid ebay/amazon fees and hassle of postage but you usually get cheap price and have to sell volume as carboot buyers market and ebays sellers. Its agood place to buy things to sell too if you know what sells well on ebay. I brought soe pram covers for £1 jsut keeping eye out for chassis so I can make big profit but you would eb surprised what bargains you can find as buyer. Must admit im guilty of buying at carboots too as see cheap practical stuff for daughter and some books and im away.
Im hoping to make at least 50 tommorow as i have more books, dvds, clothes, my mam gave me 10glass vases from her wedding to sell(they were part of table centrepeices and i have little tikes slide play box which i hope might make 5quid! I tall depends on tehw eather but ethres only prob amonth or so left of carboot season so if u want to try you need to do it soon.

Well got most confusing final payslip from work as I calculated they still owed me monet but my net pay is 0 as all types of weird deductions, really annoys me way tehy treated me but nothing I can do now just live and learn, Luckily wasent relying on cash but it would have been very helpful.

So now I need to focus on selling prams/clothes on ebay and carboot to give me enough income to last until october by the business hopefully be up and running and taking good money well thats the plan.

I will try and make sure I have started the nappies by then too as extra income, hopefully my website be up and running by then also and will try and arrange a few fairs.

Im still concerned about money though as its a worry not having regular income coming in but im sure being self employed as rewards.

I will look into tax credits but not overly optimistic as wouldent be eligable for working tax as not working 16h+ and child tax elemnet if entitled might get 10 quid if im lucky but thinking last years income prob too high.

Im off to city centre for materials so need to be strict and not spend much!
I have scraped together change from round house to make bus fare £3.90, daughter goes free. Will check mini statement as was looking 4ward to pay but sadly not. as soon as auction finishes will transfer money to bank account so I can pay nursury fees of £250!

Annoying week has passed so we need to do grocery shop but hubby working so emans i will have to do top up out of my money, I spent 70quid last week on food but am pleased its lasted the week. I still have 4 huge plates of lasagne as made huge lasagne last night so thats good.
Hubby still not replaced my jar money for holiday savings.

Hes taking money out of his share sabe about 900 and was going to pay off egg but now hes wondering if we should spend half on new dining table we wanted for last year and the rest on egg. Our current table is too small is round which i ahte as toddler frequently drops food down side and has light flimy chairs which is dangerous with toddler as lost count of times shes fallen off or pushed them over. she now refuses to stay in wooden toddler chair which is highchair that converts to adult chair

We could sell current dining table(my mam gave it us)sofa bed which we hate and corner unit hubby hates to help fund it.
We dont ahve much nice furniture which depresses hubby as its all hand me downs from my mum or 2nd hand furniture I had before we met.
Our beds broke but hubby sort of fixed it, our mdf flatpack aflling apart only daughter has quality furniture, the house is rented with bad 80,s decor horrid bathroom and kitchen. We try to make it our own with paint, rugs, cushiosn throws and accesorys, the kiddy clutter/toys stresses us both kids are so messy.

You'll never guess what? I just logged back into Ebay when we came home from doing the food shopping, and someone's only gone and bought the travel system!!!!! :j , Paid for just need to be collected now. I'm so happy lol.
I bet I'll put that money towards the savings or debt and don't buy another buggy lol.

My food shopping comes to approx 70 per week, am going to try and meal plan next week so can get the amount down a bit more I think.
Good luck with the shopping in town

Shopping was hard work busy saturday with toddler who wants to walk a lot.
Checked bank balance not looking too healthy, running out of money!
I foudn the elsuive pink scissors in a sewing shop but was shocked at price £25! but it does look good quality, they dident ahve ribbon so reccomended place in indoor market where i got my ribbon an discovered cheaper scissors! Blooming typical, it gets worse went to fabric land last and they had the cheapest scissors and cheaper ribbon so was gutted as could have saved £15 quid today if I went to last place first! Fabric land had really cheap ribbon and fabric so will be a regular haunt for me minus the toddler as she kept grabbing things!
On the plus side I have everything to get me started now so should hopefully be up and running by next week, jsut worrying about my sewing skills.
At least I now know of 4 shops in town where i can get stuff I need theres also hobbycraft and john lewis as found ikea a bit of a letdown.

I went in tesco metro and was so good just got milk, bread an juice, annoyed with myself as forgot coffee but daughter was getting restless.
Theres 3 of us in household so feel bad our bills are so high we set 200quid a month but alwasy sued to overspend so have joined august grocery challange, meal plan and buy won brands.
My lasagne last night was yummy was jaimies recipie from his dinners book must have come in at over £5 but thats fot 6huge portions so not too bad really probabaly £1 a head. The problems we have is toddler eats lot and hubby likes his crisps, biscuits and meat.
One big saving I do make is buy cubed panacatta usually sold in twin packs in tesco/sainsburys, they have lomg life on are like cubed bacon and i add that to pasta as cheper than mince, I have also cut up ham before.

I think the trick is make sure you stocked up on basics like hersbs spices, cooking oil, sugar, milk, eggs, flour, bread, tinned tomatoes.
Passatas a cheap way to make pasta sauce and we try and keep freezer stocked up with frozen veg, chips and yorkies.

Really hubby should spend 30quid this week but I can see him going over but we need to pull back in one week to coem in at 200 im determined!

My prams now on 167 with 15watchers so pleased, still awaiting payment on another so that covers my nursury fees next week just neeed to do well at carboot to give me my £25 living allowance each week. Then I still have more clothes and 2 prams to list so think I will be ok.

I think you'll be fine. It's annoying when ebayers don;t pay straight away, I get frustrated with it.
Typical you find the cheapes in last place you look, that always happens to me lol, I will learn one day.

I have most spices in my cupboards and always make my lasagne , sheppards pie, spag bol from scratch now which saves so much on sauces etc, and I have loads of tinned tomatoes in my cupboard lol, just the cheap 20p per tin ones but they taste the same.
I'd never thought of buying pancetta, might have a look for that next week. Did you freeze the left over lasagne?

I've noticed Ebay seems to be picking up a bit more this last week, must be the weather keeping everyone in.

The weathers seriously damaging my income! went to our usual large carboot sale this morning, large field by motoway was cancelled due to heavy rain so ended up going to small hospital carpark where it rained twice!
It was quiter than usual but more sellers as few others were cancelled I managed to make£15, was hoping for at least 25quid, it was cheaper entrance 5quid so 2.50 each and i spent £3.50 on coffee, stuff 4 daughter and dvd. brought a next skirt to sell on ebay for profit.
Luckily ebay going ok my pram finishes today with 18watchers, lots of questions and £167, sadly no bids on other pram.
Still awaiting payment of £140 for things sold off ebay too and got a 3rd pram and lots of clothes to list! Will transfer paypal money to bank so nursury fees and phonebill paid.

Off food shopping soon, determined to stick to budget, dont want to fail august grocery challange.

Going to start making gailey creations tonight so can start business next week.
Still need to raise £100 for nappy kit too!

Really want to pay some debt this week as really inspied by payment a day and also declutter, scrub the house and organise!

On limited budget this week which i must stick too.

Ahh dont know where the days gone! Done a bit of housework but need to be more productive tommorow!
I have spent paypal money on xmas as spotted few bargains and spent 6quid in corner shop.
Im still awaiting payment of £120 and need to list lots this week and next to keep myself going!

Will feel better when nursury fees are paid and more money in bank .
Going to make hubbys favourite curry tonight.

Also got free swim vouchers off kellog cereal to take daughter swimming this week.

As for other income had no surveys in ages, still not done free bingo and not entered any comps recently really need to set up new routine to ensure everything gets done.

I hav e20quid to last unti get monet transferred at end of week, must keep to £25budget per week but got hubbys birthday coming up which will cost me a bit as he desperatly needs new clothes plus im taking him out to cheap local round the corner in posh new clothes from sainsburys!

I think my attitude to money is improving it is possible to live on low income the live on 4000 a year proves that! Just wnat to pay off more debts.

Sounds like you're making headway despite the struggle now. Try and list one or two things a day and it may get you into the habit of listing and you may find yourself doing more each day.

I have started to try and get my head around matched betting, although not 100% understanding it at the mo.

The weather and kids are rubbish at trying not to spend anything. I went out today to meet some friends, and petrol plus lunch later it was £25 (although the petrol will last me) but even so, I don;t want to keep spending money all the time and really must get into the habit of a spending diary so I shock myself into stopping.

I think you can forgive yourself the xmas pressie using paypal money, as it will be needed nearer the time etc, and if your nursery fees have to be paid this week? the paypal money wont transfer instantly will it?

Thanks yukibear might list afew things a day as the amount I have seems daunting.
My pram sold last week buyer wants to pick up and pay £220cash so thats fine by me plus nursury voucher from hubby will pay nursury, they bit disorganised and not normally fusssed when they get it, want to pay them cash as sometimes they wait weeks to cash cheques which screws me up, they have also lost cheques before!
The manager screwed up this month hence why im paying more £330 this month but hubbys voucher is 243 but they only take £160 from salary saving 80 quid. So i need to give hubby £160 and nursury £170 cash if that makes sense? From september daughters doing one full day and one school day 9-3 that includes dinners and will cost me £180 a month, paying hubby 160 for voucher and putting £20 quid on top.
I want to keep her there as shes so happy and sociable, has lots of freinds plus when shes 3 in new year will get 12 hours and dont want to lose her place or break her routine.

I guess it would be considered big saving but i need the time to focus on business on nursury days and do any remaining shopping housework so consider it a necessary cost.

Its raining here again! Was hoping for no spend day but we could do with milk.

Feel better for starting xmas shopping even hubby was impressed as its always me who buys and wraps.

    My aim today is to

    Hoover throughout
    Clean kitchen
    list something on ebay
    Clean bathroom
Hopefully make some gailey creations once daughters in bed!

Had weird machine turn up today for baclays onlien banking, confused as hubby dont have one with abbey!
