Wine glasses made of very thick glass?

    MrsE - I just bought some fab thick glass glasses from Tesco. They're recycled, and have a slight green tinge. They're goblet shape.

    They're on offer at the moment - £10.50 for 4 :beer:

    I'm not going to chuck one at the floor to see if it would break, but they are beautifully weighted and feel very solid.

    Is the top bit nice & thick? Its easy to find thick stems its very hard to find them with thick tops too:mad:

    They're very thick compared to my other glasses. Good couple of mm thick, I'd say.

    If you like them you could buy 16 - would take you years to break 8 of them! ;)

    How about these? They'll only set you back about £150 for a set of 6 _pale_ .

    They are really lovely to drink from though...
