We got some from Homebase and I hate them because they are too thick.
Women and cats will do as they please and men and dogs should get used to it.;)

These are fairly thick - about 3mm I reckon. I've just put one of my bee ones next to a highball glass (Ikea or Habitat) and it's thicker and more substantial. That's one reason why we stopped using convential wine glasses, the stems are too thin and are not stable enough for anything other than a formal dinner party!

I think glasses that break easily & all but the toughest do if you use them daily at dinner are blooming dangerous:mad:

The Cargo ones I've got are really quite thick.
    I HATE plastic glasses.

Are you looking for a set or just a couple? I always like looking in TK Maxx for kitchenware stuff, they do have sets but always have plenty of oddments - say 2 or 3 in the same style as well. But they have many different types.

I've got some from Ikea. They were really cheap, very durable and go in the dishwasher every time.

I've just checked, they're on the website. They're called Rattvik and they're 99p. I can remember that I'd been served wine in one similar in a restaurant and really like the weight of them. At that price as well it isn't such an issue if you break one and they can be easily replaced (providing you live near Ikea!)

I've had them, but I kept breaking them.
They are nice, but too thin,

Mrs Hitch has a thing about breaking stuff, we bought a load of plastic stuff from Ikea for a few quid. Still have all of it, shame the same cant be said for the stuff we got as wedding presents all that time ago!

The IKEA ones at £1.69 are reasonably indestructable. I am clumsy as hell and have dropped these on lino, carpet and even accidentally 'thrown' one against the wall and they have not broken. I have lost one or two to my tiled kitchen floor but that is only after knocking them off the worktop in a moment of stupidity.

I used to go through 'sets' of glasses on at least an annual basis, sometimes more frequently, but I bought 8 of these 4 years ago and still have 6 left.

Edited to add: oops they have been reduced to 99p now but they are the ones mentioned earlier:

They are so good that I now have the problem that they have lasted so long they have started to get scratched from the dishwasher and no longer look pristine but I hate to part with a well functioning wine glass!

    Thanks annie-c

    But we break them!

But they are better than the M&S ones!
