Same old crap though that everybody says, it seems that underwriters are taking less interest these days in using some common sense and experience to assess applicatios, so they just rely on the computer says no! :mad:Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0

worked fine for me0

Thanks for all the help so far guys - the techies are working on fixing the couple of glitches pointed out.
On a point made by a few of you, this is very much seen by us as a 'guide', and absolutely not definitive. Hopefully once we have written the article to go with it this will be very clear

I found it to be very slow (FF3.0.1 under Linux PCLinuxOS 2.6.24.4.tex3) moving from question to question. Is there any reason for not putting all the questions on one page (or at least more than one if later questions are dependant on earlier answers) ?Conjugating the verb 'to be":
-o I am humble -o You are attention seeking -o She is Nadine Dorries0 -
Hi
It works fine for me. Some questions are a bit difficult to answer, like the one on full payment: I have 2 cards that I use for shopping where I usually pay the full balance and 2 cards on which have a 0% balance transfer on which I pay the minimum monthly. Should I say yes or no?0 -
I know some people have reported some of these things, but here are my findings:
In the question
"How many credit accounts (e.g credit/store cards, mobile phone contracts, loans, mortgages or current accounts) have you applied for in the last 6 months?"
There's no way of putting in 7. It's either 6, or more than 7 (8, 9, 10 for instance).
Same with the question:
"How many credit or store cards do you actually have – whether you use them or not? "
There's no way of putting in 3.
Same with the question:
"Apart from credit and store cards, how many other credit accounts do you owe money on? "
There's no way of putting in 2.
Otherwise, great. You're spelling is effecting me so much. Im trying not to be phased by it but your all making me loose my mind on mass!! My head is loosing it's hair. I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.0 -
Yeah, I agree with some earlier posters, the quiz works fine for me, and I get an Excellent score, but I have no income at the moment and feel it is likely that I would be declined a card. Maybe add an income option?
Thanks guys,
MrsB.
It's only a game

I take no pleasure from saying this but I think that, just as I do with the moneysupermarket 'smart search' tool, it's a gimmick.
Perhaps it's biggest failing is that, like the aforementioned 'smart search', it doesn't ask for income or current indebtedness...surely two of the most crucial factors in credit 'scoring' which together determine affordability. Nor does it look at stability factors (other than time at address)...another major element to credit scoring.
Still, at least you don't have to pay £5.99 for this 'guide' to your credit-worthiness.0 -
No problems with speed on FF2/W2K
Same as someone above said, it's a bit simplistic and quite presumptious; no option to select a salary bracket, or outgoings as a %age of income - someone with loads of cards, but who has been with the same bank for 20 or 30 years and has outgoings of only 10% of their income could get quite a low score. Conversely, someone who has a 7x salary mortgage, but always pays their bills on time, could be given a high score, despite the fact they're struggling to make ends meet after paying their mortgage.
As many have said, the "more than x" statements should be replaced by "x or more"You've never seen me, but I've been here all along - watching and learning...:cool:0 -
