Cheap deal on Tiscali phone and broadband

I have line rental with BT and broadband with Tiscali. I told them i was going to switch to BT (I wasnt for £15.00 a month) Tiscali just agreed to give me broadband and line rental for £14.99 a month plus free wireless thing - waived the £30 set up cost and gave me the first 3 months free....£75 cheaper than their online offer! i dialed 0845 0774488 - their MAC code line.

Thats because they desperately need customers for their appalling up for grabs service that no one wants to buy from them at the price they want.

Cheap Price = Cheap Service IMHO.

I signed with Tiscali simply because no-one else bar BT on a long contract would set up my new phone line Tiscali (well openreach) did it in less than 5 days. They did call me over 5 times to confirm the appointment though.

Line rental and broadband is £9.99 (for 3 months) and £14.99 there after, much cheaper than anyone else.

I've paid my money (well haven't been charged yet) and accept the concequences.

I have tiscali 14.99 a month and it works fine. Its the cheapest i could find or is there a cheaper one!?

I am with Toucan which is owned by Tiscali and moved to this deal two months ago. I expected a disaster but if anything speeds have increased and everything works fine.

Originally i had the slow speed for 14.99 which was 1 or 2 whatever per second but i saw they were offering 8 whatsits per second for the same price so rang them up and they put me on to the 8 per second deal for the same price.

I have been a customer for many years to tiscali. Ok it took awhile for them to get the set up right at first. Then all was ok until..........................this year. I have had nothing but trouble from them cutting my internet off. At this moment in time it has been off for 3days. 3 long expensive phone calls each with the result we have reactivated your account it will be on in the next 24hrs.............................well guess what? it's still not on. They have my money i am not in arreas and eachtime i give them my bank details and every week i get cut off. It is costing me a fortune calling them. I have asked for a manager and guess what? none available at present...............so i ask them to call me back.........well i am now old and grey and still waiting for the call. and still my internet is not running and i am still paying for it. TISCALI ARE SO....... IRRITATING :mad: Well all i can say is if you are thinking of joining Tiscali i would seriously think again. They have no respect for their customers. Useless stupid idiotic company. Waste of time and energy trying to talk to them. I AM MOVING TO ANOTHER SERVER AND IF ANYONE HAS A GOOD RECOMENDATION OF ANY WITHOUT HUGE ADMIN COSTS PLEASE PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

I would write a recorded letter and send it to their Stoke Mandeville address

Failing that make sure you tell them you are getting OFTEL involved - this will get your letter re-directed to a special high importance complaints team (all complaints to the industry watchdog is taken VERY seriously) who are based in London.
You might even get free BB out of them for a while
