It's also very good if anyone is feeling nauseous (is that how it is spelt?)!
I got through a recent nasty bout of food poisoning by sipping ginger ale - ginger beer would work too.
  • I seem to permanently have a cold and feel sick so will bear those two tips in mind!

Haha made a right booboo.. received my Mr T online shop and the thumb size piece of ginger I wanted arrives as practically the whole root - 350g of the stuff!! Goodness knows what I did but anyway what can I do to use it all up? I did find a ginger wine recipe but that only uses 40g :embarasse
Any ideas can I freeze it?

Definitely freeze it. You can grate it from frozen and don't need to peel.

This recipe for a squidgy ginger cake will use some - its gorgeous and is one of our favourites!

I don't ever bother putting in the lemon or the stem ginger on top or even the white choc drizzle most of the time and its still delicious.

Have you got a juicer? If so 2 apples, 2 carrots and a good 1/2 inch of ginger makes a yummy juice which really wakes you up in the mornings:)
