Thanks for this - I'll look in to it. I will be travelling from Gatwick to Heathrow (not the other way around). I assume I just need to reverse your suggestion? My difficulty is that I am flying out from Heathrow (leaving car at hotel) but returning to Gatwick. I am therefore looking for the best means of transport to get the two of us from Gatwick airport(with luggage) to the Park Inn on Heathrow. I'll certainly look in to your suggestion.

I've been thinking about this. Seems a good idea and very cheap. However, just wondering whether, having just returned from New York with Holiday luggage (one big case each) would it be practical to take a tube?

As already posted above, CRM50 gives 50% off coach fares taken before 31st October, as long as you book at least 9 days in advance. Just saved £45 on 2 returns to Helston :-)
  • Just used CRM50 for travelling in October, and it was valid on the boat part from the Isle of Wight as well, as long as I booked it though National Express. A whooping £55 saving! Thank you

  • This offer is a con. Although it says in the offer that you can "choose your date and time to travel", and even encourages you to take advantage of the offer to do your christmas shopping, and to visit family and friends, the only tickets offered to me for the £1 price tag were between 11pm and 6am!!!!! How am I supposed to go shopping at midnight? And I'm pretty sure my family wont be too impressed if I turn up on their doorstep at 1am!!!! There is NO mention in the article t's & c's about these restrictions, and they only show up when you log on and try to purchase your tickets. I have sent this information to Watchdog, and I would encourage you all to do the same thing, as the more people that complain about the misleading advertising, the more likely we are going to be to get the prices that they quote at a reasonable time. If anyone does manage to find journey for £1 at a sensible time, please let me know they route that you have found it on, as so far I havent been able to find any. What a con!!!!!!!!

My daughter has got a £1 ticket from Aberystwyth to London in December. She is happy with that. I would have rather got the train for £9.25, but students prefer beer to comfort it seems.
