    Hi
I can see that there are a few codes to use, however, I am not sure where I need to put the code. There are a few steps, fist is

    Find a journey,
    Choose your ticket
    Add Extras
    Payment
    Confirmation

anyway, I followed up to the payment and there is no place in which to put the discount code. I am not willing to put the card details and agree to pay the full price, just to see if in the confirmation page there is a place for the discount code.

Where in the process of booking online is a place for the discount code?
    Thank you

On the National Express coaches home page, click on the i button labeled Promotion code.

    You will then see...
If you have a promotional code please click here to obtain the discount off your booking.

Pretty straight forward from there I think.
  • Hi there

I am new to using promotional codes. So i can just type in easter50 and it will give me half travel automatically. If so that's amazing. I see National Express are running the half price offer if i book a coach trip initially. So i am able to still receive the discount without having to book a previous trip?

We wish to get to Heathrow from Bristol in June and £80 reduced to £40 would be fantastic.

Hi guys, I'd just like to tell you of a practice i'v found National Express use which I view as a kind of scam.

Basically, if you search for a journey on their website and find the price to be, let's say, £10, and then click off the website or search for another journey, then when you search the original journey again the price will have risen from £10 to a higher price, though if you close the website and wait a bit before searching the same journey again it will have dropped back down to £10.

So what I think they are doing is logging the journeys that people are searching for, and then trying to trick people into thinking the prices for that journey has risen if they search for it again within a certain amount of time.

Very bad! So please, if you find the price of your journey has risen from what it was a few minutes earlier, close everything, wait a while and then search again before you buy.

    mmm yes - what????

Well you've edited your post so I'll edit mine.

What is happening is that the journey you originally looked at is saved for you for a period of time. If you go off and look for another one it is treated as sold and isn't available so you get the next best available.

Eventually it will decide you've lost interest and release the ticket back for sale.

Is that 'tricking' you?. Or is it better than letting you go through the process of buying it and saying 'sorry sold out' when you try to confirm your purchase because someone else has bought it in the meantime? Are they doing it to trick you or to help you?

Calling it a 'scam' is really demeaning the use of the word.

Oh right, ok genius, so your saying everytime I go on the national express website and search for a journey, there is only one seat available at normal price, all other seats left on the coach are double the normal price? that's really unlucky for all other people who try and buy a seat on the same journey just after me, because I have got the only seat on the coach which is normal price.

Do you even think before replying???

    How rude.

    Dzug is right.

There are only a few tickets on each coach at the cheaper rates.
And believe me, there could be as few as just one ticket at the rock bottom price.

If you all but buy one, it would be annoying if they sold it to someone else while you were fumbling for your credit card, wouldn't it?

I don't think Dzug said everytime.
If fact you didn't say everytime in your first post.

    Does it happen everytime?
    You tell us.
Because that may be a totally different scenario to the one you originally presented.
