Evening all :D:D I've been dead good with the diet again today and have got 1 point left still. Need to go and sort tomorrows lunches in a minute.
I had another letter from the NI people today, saying I am exempt from the class 2 contributions ;) so at least I don't need to chase up about the letter on saturday :D

Ds got another certificate and medal at school today, for the reading challenge we did at the library in the summer holidays :D

Glad that the NI got sorted......they get there eventually!

I am not doing points on WW but doing the core thing - I figure that with a big family (well, there are 5 of us, that is enough!) it is going to be easier to do core, rather than points counting.

Also, on points, I am quite capable of eating no point soup and salad all day, plus 3 mars bars........all within my points..........:o Then I wonder why I am not losing weight :rotfl:

sorry to but in but what's the core thing on WW? The points thing doesn't appeal and neither does SW's red and green stuff... But I am another one with two stone to lose!

I've never looked in too much detail at the core thing tbh, but as far as I know its more about eating 3 meals a day and not snacking in between, I think you don't have to weight stuff like on points. For me though points works as I'm a grazer, and also a its just me and ds I need to be able to fit in food for him too without doing copletely separate meals, so like tonight we had plaice, jacket potato, carrots and broccoli, which is a really healthy meal and I know he will eat it (although he did ask why the fish weren't in retangles today with orange stuff on the outside  :o:o ), he had banana and custard for pud, I just had the banana  :D So it means we can still eat the same meals without him eating "diet" food and without me having to buy / cook different stuff. I have to be able to choose my food or I'd never stick to it, each to our own I guess, but I am having problems with the oline points tracker - every time I add something to it my computer freezes and I have to restart it

the core thing is that you can eat unlimited meat, rice, pasta, veg, potatoes, fish, eggs, cereal etc (basically anything that hasn't been processed!) for 3 meals a day without counting it. You can also have low fat yoghurts and unlimited fruit, which you can eat between meals if you are hungry.

so it is "back to basics" really, and because there is nothing processed, it is quite healthy,

you DO get 21 points a week to use on whatever you want - 3 bottles of wine, 3.5 mars bars........cream on your strawberries, or whatever, so it is not so strict you can't have a treat.

I find it easier than SW to do, and easy to do for the whole family. Healthy eating, rather than "diet".

I have done points before - and got all the way down to goal, so both work for me. I may well chop and change!

mmm... might have a look into that then, I just cook for me and DS most of the time and don't have time for separate meals or the inclination! this time next year I will be slim and debt free! (I shall repeat this in my head on waking and before eating!)

Hypno what have you set as your goal? I was thinking of putting 10 stone, but wondered whether I should put it as 10.5 stone, and then qualify for gold membership and not have to pay for the rest of it, or is there a catch in this plan? ;):D

My original gold level was 9 stone 8.........I got down to 9 stone 4 but couldn't sustain it, and am now well over 11 stone again :o

I would like to get to 10......(or preferably half a lb under, just so I can see the 9s again!) but my healthy BMI is 10 stone 6, so anything under that would qualify me for gold, and I assume it is more or less the same for you?

So, yes, choose the higher one for gold, then you get it for free - it doesn't stop you continuing to lose weight, and go to the session - but it depends what your mind set is - mine says "I'm at goal, I can eat chocolate again!" which is not the idea! :rotfl:
