Postie has just brought me my isa statement, for the last 12 months it earned £135 interet, which will that is lovely, it is a pretty pathetic amount for an isa. I checked the interest rate and it is 1.3%  I would soooo love to move it to the mortgage pot but then I'd have no savings left so I mustn't
Later today I will start looking at better isa's
I didn't get to sleep till gone 1 this morning and was woken by a text at 8 this morning so am feeling knackered already lol. I must get up and have a shower now then go and do the mystery shops so that I can veg indoors for the rest of the day
20p on the scratcard too this morningMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Morning Benben!
Long time since I've posted on your thread (might even have been the old thread...) but I thought I'd pop on and say hi, and let you know that I'm still following your diary avidly and taking great motivation from it.
So sorry to hear about your Grandad - I hope everything is okay with him? My grandparents are quite a bit younger than yours, but it's still such a worry isn't it.
Might be worth taking a look at the Barclays Golden ISA if you're looking to stick to cash, as they're topping the rates at the moment - although they don't take transfers in I don't think, so you may only be able to use it for contributions in this tax year.
Anyway, I'll leave you to your mystery shops - just wanted to let you know that I'm still hear and still enjoying following your story!0 -
Woah, thats been a long time Marc, where have you been?? and wheres your diary??
Welcome back and keep posting !! Bqrclays are one of the few companies I wouldn't consider unfortunately (ex is a manager there and dont want him having any access to info about any of my financial stuff), but thank you anyway

Mystery shops are done but not yet submitted; the first one this morning went really well, the girl in there was excellent, its so nice to get good service
I'm having a really lazy day now, I'm still really tired so thought I'd veg on the sofa for a couple of hoursJust gonna make a cup of tea then might enter some comps for a bit. I have one matched bet on this afternoon which will make me between £13 - £23 depending on whether they return the free bet stake too :T

Woohoo, I'm really chuffed with how much I got done, why didn't I write a list this morning??  The place isn't immaculate but its acceptable now, and I also put the dishwasher on and the washing machine. I'm going to get the mystery shops submitted now then work on the finances, which will leave the ironing for tomorrowMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Hmm, the rest of the evening wasn't quite so successful; I spent an hour on the phone then an hour trying to submit the shops. Basically I forgot to take a photo of one of them (the furthest one away ), so I have to go back this morning to take a picture of the shop
I didnt get any finances stuff done at all, and am going out in a bit so won'g get it done today eitherMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000
