Even though Egg are the ones who have, in effect, closed the account, I couldn't resist sending a two fingers message to them this morning.........:D
I have booked the holiday :T Deposit is paid, and the balance isn't due until May, so plenty of time for the holiday account to get some money in
And I had enough left to pay £50 to HSBC, so another square can be coloured in too!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Ah yes, all is well with the Hypno-world. Very satisfying!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
:j yay, well done on your Eggcess payments :rotfl: , and on holiday, spill the beans, where to & when????
You've made a great start on today's list, seeing as how there wasn't even 'eat chocolate' on it.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

I reserve the right to add "eat chocolate" at any point during the day :rotfl:
The holiday is just to Centerparcs - we love it there but sadly haven't been for a while. We used to go every year pre debt, and have only managed to snatch odd days etc since as guests of others! It is only down the road from us really, so ideal because once you are there you could be miles away!! And of course all the activities are ideal for my two......while I can sit with my book and my ipod and all will be well with the world.
It is not until next summer though.....so ages to wait but I decided that if I booked anything too soon it might interfere with the kids' skiing, and/or we wouldn't really be able to afford it properly so would end up not enjoying it so much. This way, I have plenty of time to save up to pay in full, and to give us enough spending money for a proper holiday!! (ie no washing for me).
I have to admit I have paid extra for daily maid service.........:TSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

A mixture of a smile and a lump in the throat. I am sure you can relate to that.
When we were tidying our garage this weekend, I found a small teddy bear my mum used to have hanging in the car. I sat looking at it for ages, not sure what to do or how I felt about it. Part of me was thrilled I'd found him, part really sad. Anyway, he's been through the washing machine, and come out looking still quite handsome for an old chap (he must be at least 30 by now) and he's going to live in our carIs it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

Fantastic news that you've got rid of Egg! That's my No 1 priority at the moment, with just over 2k to go.
How lucky to have a holiday that's not been booked through The Sun! I noticed yesterday that Retail Eyes were looking for people who are going on Center Parcs hols - it's on the message page when you log in (although I'm sure you saw that long before me!).0 -
Indeed, retaileyes are doing mystery shops there at the moment.....I will be looking for similar next year when we go. It would be pretty good to get paid for drinking coffee when you are there!
I am already collecting my clubcard vouchers for meals out there.......we will eat like Kings at this rate
The children have been to the dentist - no problems but I have been told that if DD wants a brace to correct her "fangs" (her words, not mine) then it will have to be done privately and will cost £1000-1500......... I have told DD to think very carefully about how much trauma her teeth are giving her
2 Mystery shops done, and just about to be input, and one more to do on the way to karate this evening.
No housework (other than 2 shirts ironed) today so far
Strumpet - I was very polite in saying to Egg that they would no longer be making any money out of me. And that if our custom isn't good enough for them then I would be more than happy to move it elsewhere. (or words to that effect)Successful women can still have their feet on the ground.
