Sounds like you been busy, great news about holiday something to look foward to.
We went to longleat one last year as not far from us and had great time but extras proved pricey.
The restaurants were pricey, so was supermarket we mainly self catered, the pool was lush, we rented bikes which bumped up costs.
If we go again will go shopping in warmister b4 as its cheaper than site supermarket. Cant fault accomodation was lovley.
Sadly cant afford this year but hubby brought a tent2sleeping bags and chairs for 21.99 yesterday in Asda sale.
Hoping to try camping in cornwall in september if it ever stops raining!
Things must be bad at leeeds festival 7years ago I vowed never to camp again, but need a change of scene and daughters not seen a beach!

2022 Decluttering Campaign 49/10110 -
Finally getting on MSE after spending the morning finishing my assessment (done, dusted and posted - phew!) then collapsing into bed with a cracking headache for half the afternoon. Dogs ever patient just got their walks in before the rain came down and am now cooking a roast chicken! Found it in the freezer and decided to have a treat as it is my last night before going back to work.
MSE wise not a bad day - didn't manage NSD as had to go to post office but got £45 in the post for a dog training booking and NW have put the money back into my account - so my spread betting days are over. Gathered a load of blackberries and the first apples off our tree to make a crumble later. All well in the world.
Hypno - well done on the declutter - I know I would keep family papers even sad ones - just in case someone in future wanted to know more. But I can imagine it is very hard to go through that stuff. Hugs to you. And :T:T:T on the holiday. Definitely a good move. Had confirmation of our cottage through this morning - stupidly excited even though it is not till June - am determined to save for it properly so we can enjoy it without feeling guilty or worried.
Off to catch up with other threads too!0 -

I had planned to spend the last two days off of work, to get my head together and too clear the clutter in my sitting room. Alas with the problems with the twins, I went into emotional stress and the only thing that was done was "rant and rave, cry, and sleep". But one of the twins did go and buy me an new shredder, as after 8 months of searching around, I think the last shredder must have been left behind in one of the moves. So my no spend day was shattered, with a £7.99 spend in Wilco on a shredder.
Mind you I have shredded a carrier bag full of bits already!!. Hey I think that that is one way of making me clear up the paperwork, the sound of the shredder is so satisfying. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Alas after the chocolate fountain yesterday, there is no chocolate for me:o
....but before you feel sorry for me, there is a nice cold glass of chardonnay,...thanks to my parents (or Parrots as they are known in this house), coming back from France.:rolleyes:When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Surfbabe, ouch to overwork and muscle strain.
Mooloo - sorry its so tense for you right now. But shredders can be worth their weight in gold, as Hypno was describing. I certainly wouldn't be without mine, thats for sure.2023: the year I get to buy a car0
