Hi Hypno and all,
I can get fat just reading this thread with all the talk of chocolate and cakes...LOL...
Really jealous now of everyones computer skills in that you all can have charts to colour in.I can't even do a spreadsheet.I really must go on a computer course.
Well done Snaggles on being debt free bet you're really happy....xx0 -
Thanks Hypno/Taxi
I finally got my shares transferred into my account yesterday - thought I'd missed the boat when I had a lie-in this morning and they went up to the price I needed to become debt free (and then fell back down again) before I got out of bed....oops! But at lunch time they went up again, so I sold them.
The money will take a couple of days to come through and be paid to the various places it's got to go (leaving us about £30 to spare :rotfl:), but technically I'm now debt free.
I'm pretty sure the shares will go up quite a bit more over the next couple of months, but I couldn't stand the stress of checking them and getting my hopes up all the time, only to be disappointed. So I am prepared to smile with gritted teeth when I see them at £10 a share in October."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
You don't need a spreadsheet. You just need:
sheet of graph paper - failing that draw squares on a plain piece of paper
packet of colouring pencils
and away you go.
or is that just me?0 -
Wow Snaggles, fantastic news. Congratulations!!!0

Hi Hypno
All this talk of coloured squares has set me off! (Any excuse to play with spreadsheets instead of doing some real work!!!). I have done myself one and included it as a page in my main finances spreadsheet. The closest I could could get was 28 x 30 squares of £50 each (except for one of £30 and 6 blank), representing how much of my total non-mortgage (and non-student loan) debt I have paid since my lightbulb moment 2 years ago. I have currently got 121 coloured in of a total of 834. Only 713 to go!PigginSkint's debt free diary
