helloooooo to posters and lurkers alike!!!
OH got paid £35 for helping out at the hog roast, so I have kindly allowed him to keep the £5 and I have swiped £30 to pay off the HSBC.........:D
Then, playing with the snowball calculator - as you do on a Sunday afternoon - I realised that by paying the student money off the HSBC card instead of putting it in the bank towards skiing, reduces the DFD by a month........so, as we are still some way off the winter season (just, sort of) I have paid another £500 off the card, bringing that debt down to £962....:DSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. Remember to send some of those cakes my way, surfbabe
Yes, almost at this year's target.....it should be achieved later in the week. Once HSBC is cleared I will be paying money off my egg loan......it is a low interest rate, but it has the ability to overpay without hassle or penalty, and it is my biggest debt at £14,300 (down from £25,000) with a monthly payment of over £400, so to get rid of that will be a nice feeling. I think the aim would be to be rid of that one by Easter or there abouts.
Current DFD is now February 2010............:TSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
