    Morning Hypno!

Haven't been around much, so OH MY GOD :j to your new debt total....having a debt starting with a '3' would be a lovely Xmas or new year present. :T

Well done to the Hypno kids, I believe they must have inherited a little of their Mum's determination. :)

Hope you have a nice day today - I am under strict instructions not to try to run while my lungs are still feeling like they have been attacked by a cheese grater, so instead we are going for a walk. I WILL be fit I tell you! :o

Hi snaggles, nice to see you, but sorry you are not feeling too well. I hope you feel much better soon. Yes, a debt beginning with "3" will be very nice to see - I am actually now feeling in control of things a bit better - about bloomin time too! Just have to hope that the financial "turmoil" of the last week or so doesn't extend to too many job losses once the "ripple effect" takes hold!

The hypno kids have not only inherited their Mum's determination, but also her inability to do all things domesticated :o

Of course, I'll have to actually *use* the angle grinder (and then do the mortaring straight away, oops). But the housework has definitely been done - and a cup of tea is heading my way straight after I post this, I can assure you!

Snaggles, sorry you're that badly - careful on the exercising afterwards, you really don't want to put yourself back.

Oooh, hypno - bad ripple effect. Not a nice thought. Thats a good idea on quidco - think I'll sign in there while the kettle is boiling, and attack it all over a cup of tea. And you*have* been doing something!

I'm so behind but get well soon Snaggles.
I have a cold that has gone straight to my throat and chest so will either call in sick or not last the full shift-need to call in shortly if I'm not working-all I want to do is sleep -not good.

ooh, everyone is feeling poorly - get well soon duchy!

KC - re the ripple effect.....hopefully we will be ok, but the last few days have reminded us all that no one in the sector should get complacent. It really does just serve as a reminder to me that by getting debt free I reduce my exposure to having problems should the worst happen, jobwise.

Of course, I could just ask the US government to bail me out

Thanks for the get well wishes everyone xxx

Duchy, that's exactly how I have been feeling. And against all advice, I went for a run and made myself much worse!

If your throat is really bad, you probably shouldn't try to do a shift on the phone hun, it can make the damage even worse and turn it into a much longer term problem. Get yourself to bed!

Hypno, I feel your pain about the non-domesticated kids; both mine find it highly amusing to run around the house like little destructive tornados, scattering things across the floor as they go.

I don't think *anyone's* safe, hypno, in any sector. I didn't suffer at all in the last recession, but there were other factors boosting my income then. They don't operate now, and tho I'm getting new clients in, they don't tend to stay like they used to. Its all looking a bit dodgy. And yes, being in debt puts us amongst the more vulnerable when things happen in the wider world - I don't like it!

I think you have the answer. We'll all write nice letters to the American government.

KC get you with your angle grinder and mortar! I am seriously impressed!!!

And yes, the ripple effect is rather scary. I am lucky enough to work for a company that is well placed to weather the storm, but am still painfully aware that no-one is safe.

  • Morning Hypno.

Big ((hugs)) to all the poorly peeps. You take it easy and hope you feel better soon.

We're off for a free Carvery today :j nowt better than free food lol.

It's scary isn't it all the news of job losses and I agree noone is truly safe at the moment.

We both work for the police so we are safer than most and I truly count our lucky stars for that. We have both been through redundancy twice and its not nice.
