Ok, so the tupperware cupboard now only has tubs in with lids that fit.....and if it doesn't stack, it doesn't get a second chance!

I have filled one sack full of old clothes from my bedroom drawers......they are only good enough to go to the clothing bank at the tip - clothes I was only keeping for decorating in, and the like!

A bag of DS's better clothes that he has grown out of are packaged up ready to send to another DFWer and OH is shredding paperwork like there is no tomorrow while he watches the grand prix.

    So, progress continues!

We did this a couple of weeks ago! also got rid of any that were of a size we NEVER use!

I have filled one sack full of old clothes from my bedroom drawers......they are only good enough to go to the clothing bank at the tip - clothes I was only keeping for decorating in, and the like!

Hmm I need to sort my clothes out - the problem is they are in a blanket box and keep getting shoved around! We need to get another chest of drawers when Dr Dragon has been working again but no great hurry as his are all sorted and that is the main thing!

A bag of DS's better clothes that he has grown out of are packaged up ready to send to another DFWer and OH is shredding paperwork like there is no tomorrow while he watches the grand prix.

Hmm - sounds good to me and Mr Hypno feels useful whilst watching something he enjoys!

    So, progress continues!

Progress is progressing apace! you really are an inspiration Hypno (when you are all sorted do you and Pania fancy coming over the Cambridge and helping me :D)

Everyone is busy busy today !!! My lot are all home from the Jamboree and on ly DS washing needs doing but its raining so can on ly dry two lots indoors!!!!!!!! House is still just about tidy and the newly decorated bedroom was duly admired and declared FANTASTIC !!!!!

Still got lots of things on the list to do and have told DS he needs to make a list of things that he has do to before he goes back to Uni. DD is off to Germany this week with her BF & mum, so another few days of peace and quiet.

    Another NSD as well !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad your turn out is going so well Hypno - kitchen and utility room are the hit list this week here.

Nothing prompted it really, Sea, other than "enough is enough"

Sadly, though, my house still looks an absolute tip, even though OH is now taking the third car full of stuff down to the tip! (and that is with the back seats down in a people carrier, so there is an awful lot of stuff!) I have another car full of stuff for the charity shop too, but it is too late to get that there today......will have to store that lot until next weekend now.......:o

I think the fact that I have been "decluttering" rather than "cleaning and tidying" contributes to the fact that the house doesn't, on the surface, look any different in many areas.

It *must* have made a difference though.....surely  :rotfl: I am hoping that all of a sudden it will look tidy, and I can then just flick a duster around and it will be magnifique!

Have to admit I am getting a bit tired of it now....but need to keep going just a little longer, because I fear that when I stop and sit down, that will be it for the day!!

I remember when I have done a deep declutter and clean and my late sisters house, on the Saturday it always looked a tip (and half of Sunday!), the rest of Sunday and Monday it always started to pick up again so you will get there!
