I like to simmer sliced apples, sultanas and cinnamon in a pan with a little water. When soft blend and freeze in ice cube trays until needed.
I also blend tinned strawberries and raspberries in juice when they are on offer.

Has anyone a suggestion for a fruit flavouring for home made Yogurt that is low in or free of sugar?.

It is for a very finicky diabetic. All suggestions appreciated.

Hi Ariba. St Dalfour sugar free jam is just yummy. It would be delicious stirred into natural yogurt. I'm not diabetic but I buy it because it tastes better than any other jam I've tried. The raspvrry & pomegranate is delicious & if you like marmalade - what about the orange spread?
  • I love toasted seeds on natural yoghurt. I use pumpkin, sunflower and sesame which I 'toast' in a dry frying pan. When you stir them into the yoghurt they crackle.
  • I like plain yoghurt over chopped fruit with a sprinkle of mixed spice.
