just did mate, signed up for 2011 capped, then Click Energy 5 about 20 mins max later, got conformation emails for both, where does that leave me?
will the 2011 capped tarrif be cancelled?
click energy 5 is the best but as Martin says the unit price will probably increase in a few weeks. IMO you are better off protecting your unit price, given that the experts predict that these increases may be the first in the set of a few incremental price increases over the next few years

I am on the price Fix 2010, I am really worried that in 2010 my costs are going to shoot up. Any suggestions (as I assume this is not a short term issue). Another question is the 2010 price fix Jan 2010 or Dec 2010 ??
PP2010 was the best offer ive ever come across, im on that also.... i think its april 2010 but dont quote me. British gas will probably put you onto the next best deal available at the time of expiry with the option of saying no and reverting to the standard unit prices at that time. Short answer is yes your prices will shoot up because that is an amazing deal
  • can someone please help! i`ve gone onto energyhelpline and put in my details; gas and electric both on southern electric, both monthly DD, gas tariff- general saver, electric- economy7, both near enough £240 a year.
when i`ve looked at capped comparisons i`m losing!
    e-on gives -£125, edf -£174. and bg -£218

with capped prices you usually pay a premium for the privelage... meaning you pay more now but usually save in the long run...ie you will not be affected by future prices until time of expiry.....in my experience you will save money
  • I will be £10 a year better off signing up to the BG 2011 deal but I'm thinking that in the long run this will probably be more if the prices go up as much as everyone thinks. If prices drop dramatically (unlikely) it will cost me £100 to get out but I can balance this against the savings at the time.
  • I'm on BG Online Extra Click Energy for Gas, what exactly is that one

Do I stay or fix 2009 prices

    Spain for retirement

all i can say to that is to refer to what the experts on tv and internet think. Which is....possibly 60 even 70% over the next few years
  • Thanks MrBlonde

I've signed up to the 2011 fixed price
