Hello...wow finally got through the 972 posts! took a few days though...
I have joined as a consultant last week after being bitten by the BSAH bug reading the first few pages of this post. Im so sorry that I did not realise how important recruiting consultants is for people and I went via the websiteoh well.
I just have a question to ask...for those of you who take catalogues door to door and leave in waiting rooms, hairdressers etc, even when doing a party in a bag....do customers have to pay up front (which is what I have been advised for parties) and are people actually happy about paying money up front for something they have not yet got in their hands. I know from experience places like bettaware take payment when handing over the goods and im not sure even I would feel happy handing over the money up front.
Thanks in advance all you lovely people
xMaking the most of what I've got.
I have now realised earning more money won't make me richer but clearing my debts will!!0 -
Most people don't mind paying upfront...Body Shop is a name they recognise so feel safe handing over their money. I suppose you could take money on delivery but then that way you will have to pay and hope you get your money back. If people pay on ordering they are less likely to change their mind. I have heard AVON reps say they sometimes have trouble getting the money. Most party plan takes money up front now so you shpuldn't encounter too many problems.0

I was wondering if there is anyone in the wirral area that would like to swap parties I am a new Ann Summers rep (and don't have any partys booked at the moment) and thought if there was anyone intrested I could hold a BSAH party and they could hold an AS party and swap that way.
If anyone is intrested please pm me cause I don't look at this thread in general
Thanks Claire0 -
Hi Acheekymonkey! Welcome the TBS@H!!
Peronally I dont take an order if its not paid for up front. Similarly, i will accept cheques but wont place and order until its cleared. A few years ago i did avon (not for very long!) , took payment when the things arrived and i had a few people who never paid me so i ended up losing out. I dont want that to happen here so if i leave catalogues anywhere i always leave an envelope and ask for payment by wither cash or cheque to be placed in the envelope. I check the amount before i leave to make sure its correct.
I know it sounds a harsh way to do thigs but once youve been affected by non payers, its the only way to do things.

Well....I read everything people had written about vista print on here but had unfortunately already placed my order. Anyway wasn't too worried as I was careful and checked details...turns out I wasn't careful enough. I just recieved an email saying my next payment was due and they would take it from my account. It looks like its from a third party not directly from vista print. I've sent them a very rude email as i've not given permission for my bank details to be used. Anyway I now wouldn't recommend them to anyone.0

Hi All-I am brand new to this Forum. I actually live in Australia but there is nothing at all on any Aussie sites and I figure TBSAH is the same here as it is there. I can't believe TBSAH doesn't have a forum set up!!
Anyway-I live to far away to get to trainings or meetings so will be reading this forum very often!!
My first party is this Friday so fingers crossed with two more in the next three weeks -one mine.
Anyway-I was after some game ideas? I was given a few but there not that great so please PM me if you have any. Are there any other Aussie girls on here?0 -
HeySynonymous,
you mentioned in your previous post about working shifts and about how popular parties during the week etc.
I work shifts too, back shifts and nightshifts. You get more weekends off than me, i only get 3 in 2 months. And i do fine.
Iv never had a problem with people booking during the week. Obv i do sat and fri parties and i tend to find they can be better parties and bigger. (as the alcohol flows the purses come out!) But honestly you do parties when you can fit them in, thats the good thing about TBSH.
Hope everyone is doing well, im getting ready for 3 parties next week and one this thursday. woop!
One next week is my big fundraiser, very nervous!

Why not try going into your local store and trying to recruit there...they probably get loads of people asking about jobs at this time of year. My AM always does this when she is looking for recruits0
