Just got myself another 2 parties booked today, probs one in Sep and one Oct (their phoning me later). Re the training, it's just seeing new products, the managers give each other a facial and make over showing off any new products that there is, theres no 'training' as such. (well not at mine) Do you have to wait until you've had your training before you do any parties? I didn't i did my 1st party before my 1st training session.0
-
Yes I'm being encouraged to wait until I've done both training sessions before I do a party. I think I could do one before that but the confidence of having done training and knowing that bit more will help me I think.
Hi Bibbitybob, Sounds like you're in a similar situation to me. I've got training on tuesday and I've got 3 of my first 6 parties booked. My manager says that I have to get all 6 booked before she'll send off my form so I don't have to worry about getting my 6 when my money has gone out. She's great though and has been really helpful so far. Does your manager seem good so far? I've heard different stories of some great and some awful managers!0 -
Well done CherryPie for getting those parties! getting the parties is still the bit I'm worrying about though everyone keeps telling me not to worry.
Flickering Ember, I don't know if this will help you but my manager said that if you time it right you can pay for your kit on credit card and earn it back before the bill is due. Obviously you need to be confident in your parties etc before you take that approach but it might help you get started sooner?0 -
I asked my manager and she said no, that they don't do that. They already have to help me find parties as I don't know people around whre I live really as I only moved here a few months ago and am working F/T, studying F/T and doing a P/T job and have 2 kids to ljugg;e.0

Oh my manager suggests thats what people do who haven't got the cash up front,. Why does she need to help you find some parties? You will get parties from your parties. Your first party is best to be your own, inviting your friends and family, work/college collegues etc. She sounds a bit poo tbh.0 -
Hi all, well ive got a party tonight, 7 confirmed going so should be a good one. Had an awful day yesterday, my hubbys grandma died suddenly and if im honest the last thing i need is to be doing a party but it will be worth it for the money and the time with my mates. My manager said she could do it if i didnt want to but the sales and comission would go to her so im being a bit selfish and still doing it myself as planned. Has anyone else got a party tonight?

Sorry to hear that Monica, probs do you good o get out tonigh and take your mind off it for a while. My next party is next Saturday and managed to get 2 booked in for September yesterday and im still waitting on another lady to get back to me. Im doing a fundraiser in October too for HomeStart as im a volunteer and hoping that that does well as im giving away 10% of the profits and donating all the raffle money (undecided about keeping £5 back for P&P, what does everyone else think?)
Got my first recruit yesterday too so thats £50 of vouchers for me and my make-up box as still in my success start. Also given my manager another 5 leads and we are meeting one of them in Liverpool to sign her up when we go to conference, so im dead chuffed!!0 -
Hiya
I have just sighned up Yayayay, got 4 party's booked already, thats 1 a day and also waiting to here back from 4 people for dates:beer: , I am really looking forward to it. I have my training booked up for next saturday at a posh golf club with dinner:D . My manager is ace, she has already offered extra prizes when I get my first 6 parties booked. I am so excited about this and wish i had signed up months ago! Right off to make some phone calls and hopefully get some extra parties booked.
Mon 1 Hope your party goes well.:j0 -
ohh forgot to say when , where and how much is the conference, Manager has just gone on her hols so cant get hold of her for a few days, and I am away from sun so need to work out if I can go asap.
Thankyou0 -
mrsbaker-thanks for your wishes. i hope it goes well too. Im really not in a partying mood tonight but id rather keep the sales and comission for myself so im gonna do it anyway.
Right, ive got all my stuff together, just need to get my 4 small bottles of alcohol to take (whoever books a party with me on certain dates gets a bottle) i know its ambitious taking 4 but even if i get 2 booked its 2 parties i didnt have before!
As usual will post on here later to let you know how it goes im made up in my products and covered in neroli jasmin edt so theres my plug plus i pass everything around for folk to try and give them samples in the little pots of stuff they might like which really helped my sales last party so hopefully its a good strategy.
Sorry im waffling, have a good evening all, speak later!
