Hi all! Well, party last night went ok, got 2 potential bookings and 1 recruit lead. 7 didnt come, i had 4+ host and got £113.50 sales so still not too bad. Cant complain at that. I might add £20 to the order and get the free shopping for my kit lol. My manager said she would show me how to do it if ever i wanted to so will ask her later on this week.
Monica
PS MrsBaker, my hubby is working too and thats why i cant go. Will see you there in 2009!0 -

Your first party is best to be your own, inviting your friends and family, work/college collegues etc. She sounds a bit poo tbh.
Well, I am self employed so don't have any work colleagues as such. I don't have family or many friends around here, and most of my friends here are men anyway.0 -

Without sounding off, but can i ask then why you want to do the Bodyshop if you have no female friends as you will have trouble getting parties.0 -
Flickering Ember. It may be hard to get started if you don't have many females to ask to do your first parties, but it may be a great way of meeting new friends in your new area. Hopefully your parties will lead to more parties so once you get started hopefully that won't be a problem. You could always try doing some kind of mail drop with either leaflets or catalougues to drum up more potential parties once you get started and have access to catalougues.
Your manager sounds like she's being helpful in getting you those first 6 parties, though once you have the parties planned then I don't see why she wouldn't let you pay on credit card for your kit if you timed it right (so you could earn it back in time to pay the bill).
Where in the country are you? I'm in Coventry. Feel free to PM me, I've signed up but not yet recieved my kit so I'm at a similar place to you.0 -
Ellie, I have my parties sorted, so it's fine. I am also going to be doing managers training soon. I have my dates sorted and my money will be sorted too soon so I will then be able to send off for my starter kit. Also, I buy so much from the Body Shop anyway that I have loads of those free gift packs they give you with purchase, and am going to be using some of those things as raffle prizes etc at my parties.0

PS elliep, I don't have any credit cards, so that would not be an option. I only buy things when I have the money, or I go without.0

I do the same, no credit cards i mean. I just mentioned it as an idea because i know that most people have credit cards.
Well done for getting all your parties sorted, sounds like you're going to be up and running really soon. What is managers training? is it different from the training you do in the first couple of weeks anyway?0 -
