I've just watched the training DVDs, learned a lot I didn't know about putting on make-up and I'm feeling a lot more confident about doing it. The make-up was the one thing I was really nervous about doing as I've only recently learned to do my own properly!
I watched the It's All About You DVD, I'm really looking forward to trying out the bubbly and confident approach! I've been really worried about how I will come across to my customers as I am actually quite shy but compensate for it by being loud and over the top! I thought the training video would be really pants but it has shown me that if I am passionate about the products and know what I am talking about I'll have real confidence. Getting really excited now and I can't wait to do my first party and practice everything I've just seen.
Wow, I just read my post and I sound like an advert, maybe I should be on a recruitment film! lol.
I watched the DVD today and I really enjoyed it too. it gave me lost of ideas and I thought it was a brilliant look at a party but quite natural given the little odd mistakes she made and they never cut them out.
Does everyone use the cue cards at their parties?
I did my sisters make-up for her as she is going out tonight and I was really happy with the result, it looked very professional even if I do say so myself lol.
Oh and I liked the way the lady in the DVD handed round the samples using spatulas, cotton buds and cotton pads. I think this is great for hygiene reasons and also to keep your products looking nice.
However people then look at the products before ordering so how do you make sure they are keeping to this without sounding like a school teacher lol.
Wow there is so much to think about but I have not been this excited for a long time!!!

Hey monny,
suggestions for your big party for over 50 ladies, Iv done a few and it is difficult to involve evryone.
Heres a few suggestions, take a raffle book and everyone who comes through the door either pays 50p or get it free, up to you and that enters them into your get a free pamper/facial/make over, if your doing it for charity you can give that money to charity.
Another option is doing a copy me type thing (which i might try at my next party) if the ladies are brave enough nominate 1 lady to be your model, then get either another 2 or 4 ladies up with you. 2 of the other ladies are models and the other 2 will be 'consultants' then for example if your doing make up you do it and they have to do it at the same time as you copying what your doing. It gets them involved and can be a laugh too. expecially with make up, (if you go for this it may be worth while speaking to your AM to see if you can get duplicates of the make up your going to use they can be borrowed from other consultants in your team) so each 'consultant' has her own wee table having the same products on the table.
Does that make sense?!?
Luv H xxx
Thanks, it does make sense. I will give it a go. The party is not until the 23rd of this month, will let you know how we go afterwards. Apparently it isn't a fundraiser, so I thought I might raffle (for free/children on the edge 50p for a strip of 3) the free shopping & yes gift as their is more than one organiser/host. I will ask my AM for some additional products and brushes, I am sure she won't mind. I am quite excited, it is a good test to see what the sales will be like with a large group. I have been ringing local charities and asking if they want Xmas/Pamper evenings, so this group party of 50 will at least give me an idea what kind of sum we could raise for them. :j
Thanks again.

Hi
Just thought I would share this with everyone. I just got an e-mail from my AM and she told me that one of the other AM's Xmas seller went into a local Hotel. She spoke to a Hotel Receptionist and the Manager and he purchased 80 six pound gift boxes as gifts for his staff!! So, might be worth checking out local Hotels in your areas.0 -
HI all, had a great day at training yesterday.
Does anyone know if the catalogues are still 3 for 2 or was that just last month?
Also, which size cellophane bags fit the cats and host stuff in? I think I prefer them to the host envelopes.
Thanks

Hi,
I used to do Body Shop at Home about 7 years ago. Worked at it for about 3 years, and loved it. I have just rejoined with the Christmas Kit. I don't really want to "Party" any more, but still have people coming up to me in town asking if I can get them products! So thought I would sell that way, plus do Christmas fayres etc. Great fourm girls. Wish it was around way back then. I am from the Lake District, and there are hardly any up here, so if anyone wants to join from that area, just give me a shout!
Looking forward to getting more hints and tips.
Does anyone know what is in the Christmas kit? Havent got it yet, but think it will land any day now!0 -
Hang on Ill get the list........:j0
