Anyone that wants the cover letter will need to pm me a private email as I can't send attachments on this (at least I don't think,so, its all new to me!!). I happy to send it to anyone although you might want to personalise it abit.
Where did you get your labels and business cards from?0 -
I posted out some catalogues the other day and I've said i'll collect them later so i'll let you know how it goes. Slightly unsure of how I'll do as I know Avon have had trouble in this area but unless I try I won't know!! My area manager done a cover letter to put with the catalogues so if anyone needs help with it let me know and i'll forward what she has given me.

Hi everyone! I've been reading this forum for a week now, I've been a consultant for about a month, in Somerset. Done two parties so far and loving it! On top of my full time job it's a bit hectic but worth it! I wanted to ask, what do you all do for raffle prizes, host gifts, booking gifts etc? Just give them a product or wrap it up or what? Also does anyone have any games as I've only got two and they're not very good... help! xx0

Games?? I dont do games no one has metioned it so I could do with ideas too. I've sent the cover letter to those that requested it (Cath and Kim...I need your email address) so let me know how you do.
Becci...you can get booking gifts and things on supply cheap, and as for raffles use what you want just make sure you don't go out of pocket. I think I saw someone used a bath lily and shower gel. If you wrap it people won't know what it is until they have already joined the raffle anyway and most are happy with anything if its free!!0 -
I called support regarding the catalogues and was told that as I registered on monday (september) I only get one pack of the winter ones and one pack of summer ones and they won't change it for me. So I have to make do with 20 catalogues! With 6 parties in a few weeks I may have trouble with that!June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

When you put your first order through order some more on supply. Assuming your 1st party is someone you know and the delivery is going to them you can go and collect. The same thing happened to me, I joined when we were changing to the high summer cataloge and ended up with lots of old ones. I know it seems like a outlay you don't need but it is worth having extra otherwise your always relying on getting them back from people (which doesn't always happen). I also believe there is an offer on them at the mo...although that could have ended.0

I have loads of games and I'm happy to send them to anyone who wants them. Just PM me and include your e-mail address as I can't send attachements by PM.
In answer to the question of booking gifts and prizes etc, for game prizes I've been using a 20p bottle of foot lotion and a couple of sample sachets wrapped in colourful paper. It's not much but combined with the satisfaction of knowing they've won my winners have been really pleased.
For incentives, I use a bottle or two of product (ginger bath cream and cassis rose shower gel at the moment) with a box of cotton buds and a pack of cotton pads and a bath lilly (well i'll be putting bath lillies back in when they come back into stock!) Pop it all in a medium celophane bag and tie the top with some curling ribbon, it looks really nice and generous but in reality costs me £3.05, I'm not counting the cost of ribbon as it was 200m for £1 at the pound shop and I bought it for tying baloons at my wedding a couple of months ago anyway.
celophane bag 10p (£1 for 10)
cotton pads 50p
cotton buds 50p
ginger bath cream £1.25 (I think)
cassis rose shower gel 50p
bath lilly 20p (£1.20 for 6)0 -
Well...i've just been out to collect my catalogues and I made precisely £0!! I did only put out 10 to start with...I have 6 back 4 of them had been left on the doorstep untouched so I didn't even get chance to talk to them!! I'm slightly disheartened at the moment but maybe i'll try a different area of town (i'm the only consultant here so plenty of ground to cover). If anyone does better or has a different approach please let me know...this town is tough!!0
