  • Ok so I had a good party yesterday, £366 worth of orders, luckily all items ordered were in stock.
And I have another one on Thursday.
I have just been going through the GTIN and price changes and written them in each catalogue, what a pain!
Also what is going on with the OOS items?! should I be crossing them off the catalogue - will they be coming back into stock?
I am spending an awful lot of time just preparing the catalogues for the parties!

Hi everyone. I am Gap and I have just signed up to TBSAH. I would like to thank trishandbubs for her advice and support helping me get started. I have received my pamper kit and I have ordered my Christmas kit, the make up kit and the skincare kit already and I am waiting for them to be delivered. I firmly believe that the more products I have to show, the more I will be able to sell. My first party is going to be on 14th October and I am really looking forward to it.

    Gap x
    Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000
    Mortgage today = £161,690.76
    300 271 payments to go.
    House buyout fund £21,000/£40,000
  • You will do great hun im sure x
I am a very firm believer of having a lot of things for people to see but you can always guarentee its the one thing you havent got that they want to look at!! Have fun at your first party and you know where we all are if you need any help x
  • Thanks so much for your reply and apologies for the delay in replying - I've not been online for a long time! Hope it's going well for you x
1/ How can customers pay for goods? Cash only?

Customers can pay by credit card, debit card, cheque or cash. Not master card

2/How can consultants pay for goods - cash, debit/credit card?

    debit card

3/ Are there delivery charges, if so what are they - same as online store?

    £5 to 'host' or consultant

4/ Delivery of goods can be to the consultant's address or the party host's address only, is that correct?

No you can specify a different address if you like, work address etc

5/ Are consultants able to buy stock at cost/wholesale price, to sell at fair/Market? Or do we get any other discount? If so, would purchasing goods at a reduced price contribute to the £150 minimum for each rolling 3 month period?

I think if you want to do a fair you have to 'register' your pitch with the Body Shop

6/ Do consultants have permission to use 'The Body Shop' logo online or in print?

    yes

7/ Other than party host benefits, customer offers on specific product sets (that I believe aren't available online or in-store) and having the opportunity to 'try before you buy, in the comfort of your own home), what are the benefits for customers - why would they keep buying from a consultant instead of going in-store or purchasing online, direct from The Body Shop? I'm trying to understand the additional value of buying from a consultant - I appreciate in the run up to Christmas the chance to shop away from the hustle and bustle of busy shopping centres, but if I have to wait for products I'm personally buying, I expect the delay in receiving the order, to be balanced out by getting the goods at a cheaper price, or alternatively, obtaining a product that is not available in store, perhaps due to demand or it being limited to BS@H customers.

will let you know when i know! i have started recently..

Not trying to be controversial, just really interested in this, and want a better understanding before making a commitment :) x As an existing and loyal Body Shop customer, I'm very much aware of the on-going offers to buy in-store and online, and wondering how consultants manage to compete!

Any answers, advice etc is very much appreciated - thanks!

  • I was about to give up on this thread! glad someone else is posting and not just me!
I had my 2nd proper party yesterday. Bit disappointing really as there were 14 girls but only 10 ordered and spend came to £260 - maybe I am just not cut out for this!
I really pushed the 30% off gifts and the sparkler so I sold loads of those... but most people did not seem interested in reaching the £30 to get the purchase with purchase gift - the candied ginger is so nice who would not want that under their tree!
Played the 'Irish raffle' game which seemed to go down well...
Did not get another party booked so a bit stumped now!

Thats still not bad especially seeing its only your second party so dont feel too disheartened hunny. Some people just arent into the thinking of Christmas mood yet and I have found people are putting it off till a later date at the moment. Speak to your upline and she should be able to help you and give you advice on what you can do differently at the next party

I've just signed up to do parties, and am wondering if anyone has any ideas for games? I have people looking for parties and I'd like to make it fun so they are more likely to want to rebook. I've been to body shop parties in the past and they dont seem to do games here. I'm hoping that will set me apart a little.

Try http://angelswithattitude.biz/ - there are some good games on there.
The Body Shop parties I have been to before I joined were paying games, £2 to play. The prizes were very nice.
I have not charged to play the games at my parties yet, I have used items from my kits as prizes, or samples which I bought online.
    "snatch raffle" went down well!
