hi all i am new to this i signed up this week and got my kit today. im in the burnley area and struggling to find parties and this is after i have hounded all my friends and family.... lease help as i am worried as hell i am not going to get my parties booked intime xx

This is the biggest selling month, and parties are averaging £400 so you could try and convince a friend/family to do it as they will definitely get their 70% discount on their shopping as well as the £25 gift, it's such a good offer!
Why don't you host the first party and take it from there...

I can't say whether it will work out until after Xmas - when I have done the next few parties and fairs, but it is definitely not easy!
I am not allowed to sell on ebay, I checked my contract. But it is tempting! Just saw 10 items sell for £15 which I can buy for £4...
I don't suppose there is much money to be made at car boots!

Hiya....how would ebay know you were a consultant? It's obvious if you were selling consultant stuff (ie, kit items, clothing etc), but if you wanted to sell 3 bottles of shower gel that you can get cheaper, then they would have no reason to think that you weren't just a normal seller? x

well to be honest I have sold a couple of items on my private account to test the water so to speak, but if i was to sell more then it would have to go on my business account and my name and address are displayed on there for all to see.
I don't know whether they check ebay or not but if someone was selling 20 hemp hand creams for example they might check...

Ebay and TBSaH have an agreement so its not that ebay will dis allow the item but more over that TBSaH will find out and could close your account or worse sue for breach of contract.

Parties at this time of year are relatively easy to find - although when your starting up i think its all about the wording.

Rather than saying to friends and family - "would you like a party " "you receive x y z etc "

Try saying -" i need your help - i'm really trying to get this working so pleeeeeaaassee can you have a party for me - i'll be really grateful and i promise not to nag you about it in the future !"

Also call in favours off people - using much the same approach .

The other thing you can do is go into your local body shop store - even if half an hour - you should be able to pick up a party.

If you need any help sorting this pm me :)

Also maybe re write your contact list - think of everyone you have ever known - then ask them - promise an extra free gift especially from you too ?

  • Hi all,

I have decided to become a Body Shop consultant and applied a few days ago via the website but as of yet have had no reply.....Then found this thread and realised how important it is for you guys to recruit people! I am in Leamington Spa...is there anyone in the area who I can sign up with?

I am new to this whole thing but very excited so any more information would be really helpful!

    Thanks!

Hi Natalie - make sure you find someone who lives quite close, a friend recruited me via Facebook but she lives too far to be any use!
    Good luck!

Personally I dont think it matters how far you are from your manager, I have never met mine but she is always just a phone call or email away and always ready to help when I need her. Guess it depends on your manager

would have been nice to have a bit of help for the 1st party, or be able to sit in on one...
